Change is not easy.

“Jesus said to him,
'If you can believe, all things are possible to them that believe'”

It is time to change your mindset, and renew your thoughts and ways of thinking. ... If you can renew your mind and thoughts toward the things of God, you can change your world.

Today, is another opportunity to change. I have learned as I am in the process of healing from abandonment that, it is not just a me issue it is an epidemic. I just changed enough, I could see it in myself, and begin the work needed to begin the healing process; and it is a process. Each day we wake up, we can chose either to stay in our cocoon of fear, or we can change. Small changes make big differences. 

If you are like me, we hide abandonment like it was something to be ashamed of--because we are. When people choose others over us, our first thought is usually, "Something is wrong with me, I am bad." It took me a long time to find out, something was wrong with the one that left. I am good. That's when I quit overcompensating. I was wearing myself out trying to be good enough, pretty enough, smart enough, just plain enough. There is freedom to quit crawling around and start spreading your wings to fly.

ACTION STEP:  Please pray for me as I do my best to forge ahead writing. I have three books I am working on. I still put everything and everyone before myself. It is a hard habit to break when you believed, it was the answer to your survival. The self-talk was always screaming, "Stand up straight, be good, be nice, be smart, be kind, don't make a mistake. The high alert vigilant me would kick in. Smile. Talk. Do something. I know people live here. I want to give hope and share a way out.
