1 Corinthians 2:14
"But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Jean-Claude Killy was part of the French national ski team in the early 1960s and he prepared to work harder than anyone else to be the best. At the crack of dawn he would run up the slopes with his skis on, an unbelievably grueling activity. In the evening he would lift weights, run sprints--anything to get an edge. But the other team members were working as hard and long as he was. He realized instinctively that simply training harder would never be enough. Killy then began challenging the basic theories of racing technique. Each week he would try something different to see if he could find a better, faster way down the mountain. His experiments resulted in a new style that was almost exactly opposite the accepted technique of the time. It involved skiing with his legs apart (not together) for better balance and sitting back (not forward) on the skis when he came to a turn. He also used ski poles in an unorthodox way--to propel himself as he skied. The explosive new style helped cut Killy's racing times dramatically. In 1966 and 1967 he captured virtually every major skiing trophy. The next year he won three gold medals in the Winter Olympics, a record in ski racing that has never been topped.

A study was done of famous and exceptionally gifted people to understand what produced such greatness. The most outstanding fact was that virtually all of them, 392 out of 413, had to overcome very difficult obstacles in order to become who they were. They were people who would not allow their situations to box them in and limit what they could accomplish.

Hudson Taylor, the great man of faith who founded the China Inland Mission, integrated faith and risk. He said, ''Unless there is an element of risk in our exploits for God, there is no need for faith.''

I remember this paper hand game from grade school (see image above). We girls played it all the time to see who we would marry, and how many children we would have. Looking back it was probably not very godly, and who knows where it came from? But, never the less in middle school we spent all of recess playing this silly game. Life however, is not a game. There are no chances. There are choices. I choose to believe in miracles. I choose to believe that God hears my prayers and answers them, so I choose to pray. I make miracles happen because I expect them and obey the word of God. I lay hands on the sick and they recover! You can too.
ACTION STEP: Make the choice to serve God and obey His word. Take time to listen to this song, let it feed your faith. If it doesn't show up in your email, watch it in your browser, or click on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwX1f2gYKZ4
MAKE A GREAT DAY!

Miracles Still matter #5

What is a MIRACLE?
A miracle surpasses all human or natural powers, supernatural, above and beyond, extraordinary, overrides, supersedes, and bypasses all limitations.
A miracle is God's power invading our time and space to accomplish His purposes.
And a miracle is a continuous work of God that will not be stopped or limited.

Picture
Hebrews 13:8 KJV
"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."

Since God is the same yesterday, today and forever, then, today when we have a need, when we need a miracle, it is ours! Feed your faith. When your hope grows miracles happen. I love to read the about the old time preachers and evangelists that had tent meetings and miracles were the norm. Kathryn Kuhlman, A. A. Allen, Jack Coe, RW Shambach, and Lester Sumrall all performed miracles in their ministries everyday. Today, is no different! It is time for miracles to happen!

Picture
ACTION STEP: Catch the message below. If we want God to move we have to do our part. So let's "WORK IT." There are four great points: 1. Work with your companions (Paul worked with Aquilla and Priscilla.) 2. Work with your gifts. (Find out your gifts by taking my gift finder assessment or take an upcoming class.) 3. Work with God. (When God asks you to do something, just do it!) 4. Work. (Work while it is day. God sees and rewards.)

The Miracles of Jesus Series #4

I am being changed in this study of miracles. I am learning to trust God in a greater way but at the same time wage warfare at a higher level than I have ever had to fight. Greater is He that is in me! Greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. When the wicked forces of hell attack me God turns their weapons upon them. God is my protector. God is my preserver. God is my fortress. God is the God of miracles. God wants us to perform greater miracles than Jesus did when He walked this earth. We can do greater miracles because Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us.
Picture
I have been going through the miracles of Jesus. In my studies I am sharing with you I have found thirty five miracles. I am sharing them in the order in which Jesus performed them and I have added what I can see beyond the miracle to the what God wants us to see. What God wants us to learn from these miracles. God wants us to perform miracles in His power so the world can see the Miracle Worker--their Creator.

13. Jesus Delivers A Demonic In Gedara (Mt 8:28-34, Mk 5:1-20,

Luke 8:27-39)
So, what can we see from this miracle? When we are in harms way we can have a miracle. When there is a force greater than our will that controls us and causes us to wound ourselves and others, we are positioned for a miracle. Look up the definition of force.

14. Jesus A Woman Of A Hemorrhage (Mt 9: 20-22, Mk 5:25-34,
Luke 8:43-48)
This one intrigues me. A hemorrhage is a very personal issue. It is an issue no one sees. It is an issues that can be hid. God sees our personal issues. God sees the issues that drain us, and rob us, of our energies and steal our ability to fellowship closely with others. He wants us to reach out and touch Him.

15. Jesus Raises Jairus’s Daughter (Mt 9:18-26, Mk 5:22-43,
Luke 8:41-56)
This miracle shows me that God cares about what I care about. God cares about whether we have family. God is concerned about us leaving a legacy through our children and their children, etc. until Jesus returns.

16. Jesus Heals Two Blind Men (Matt. 9:27-31)
When reading and praying about what Holy Spirit wants us to see beyond this miracle I found that when we can not see what is obvious to others, God wants to remove our blind spots. When we can't see we are prideful, when we can't see we have a gluttonous spirit, an addiction, a lying spirit, a spirit of anger--God himself wants to step in and open out eyes.

17. Jesus Cast Out A Mute Spirit (Matt. 9:32-25)
When you feel as though no one hears you, when you feel have no voice, when you can't find the words to say what you want to say--God wants to hear you. God created you with a voice and He wants you to use it. God does not want us silenced by the enemy. That enemy can be fear, insecurities, woundedness...it does not matter God wants you to have a voice.

We have the opportunity to look beyond the miracle and see the one who can create the miracle. God wants to use you and me to be a conduit for miracles in the world. God loves His creation and He wants to step in and set people free.
Can He use you?

Picture
ACTION STEP:  Read through the above miracles and see what else God says to you about these miracles. Can you relate to any of them? If so how? What does the word definition of force mean to you? I invite you to stay with me through all thirty-five miracles. Catch the messages live on You Tube and Facebook. If you need to watch them at a later date go to our web site and they are there in our archive. God bless and have a miracle day! a miracle life! a miracle ministry!

Imagine. Dream Big!

2 Kings 13:18-19 KJV

"And he said, Take the arrows. And he took them. And he said unto the king of Israel, Smite upon the ground. And he smote thrice, and stayed. And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed it: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria but thrice.”

Dream. Imagine, totally destroying the enemy of your life's purpose and dream. Finish what you start. Have the God kind of Faith and refuse to stay down when knocked down. Get back up. Shoot the arrow! Smite the ground--the enemy is under our feet.
Picture
To imagine is to enter the world of miracles, to believe and to reach toward and receive all the miracles you need to fulfill your dream.

A GOD DREAM TAKES GOD MIRACLES
A MIRACLE LIFE TAKES A MIRACLE WORKING GOD

''One touch from His divine hand and more is accomplished in the time of a lightning flash than all our struggles and mental endeavors could work in a thousand years.''

A MIRACLE LIFE TAKES A MIRACLE MINDSET

Dee Hock, the leader of VISA said, ''The problem is never how to get new, imaginative thoughts into your mind, but how to get the old ones out. Every mind is a room packed with archaic furniture. You must get the old furniture of what you know, think and believe out before anything new can get in. Make an empty space in any corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.''

ACTION STEP: Stay tuned throughout this entire series. God is about to increase His miracle working power and authority and He will be delivering it to those in need through you and I. Every Wednesday night catch the message on You Tube RCI Media. http://restorationchurchintl.org/ or https://www.believeright.tv/.   I will continue through all 35 Miracles of Jesus. See parts 1-3 on our website. We have gone through Jesus's first through 17th miracle thus far. We are halfway through. I pray you are blessed and encouraged by what we are sharing.

Expect Miracles!

Matthew 24:24-28 TPT
" For there will be imposters falsely claiming to be God’s ‘Anointed One,’ and false prophets will arise to perform miracle signs to lead astray, if possible, those God has chosen to be his.  Remember this, for I prophesy it will happen!  So if someone says to you, ‘Look, the Anointed One has returned! He’s in the desert,’ don’t go chasing after him. Or if they say to you, ‘Look, he’s here in our house,’ don’t believe it.  The appearing of the Son of Man will burst forth with the brightness of a lightning strike that shines from one end of the sky to the other, illuminating the earth. How do birds of prey know where the dead body is? They just know instinctively, and so you will know when I appear.”

Picture
A MIRACLE
Surpasses all human or natural powers, supernatural, above and beyond, extraordinary, overrides, supersedes, and bypasses all limitations.
God's power invading our time and space to accomplish His purposes.
A continuous work of God that will not be stopped or limited.
Miracles are for today and they are for you and for anyone who believes and ask!

Jesus did miracles through the power of God. Jesus was the conduit that God used because Jesus was obedient to His Father...even unto death. When we are ready to die to be obedient the power that Jesus had will be activated through us because it already resides in us.
Let what is in you, come out of you so others needs can be met and Glory can be given to God through Jesus our Savior.

Author Irving Stone has spent a lifetime studying greatness, writing biographies of such men as Michelangelo, Vincent van Gogh, Sigmund Freud and Charles Darwin. Stone was once asked if he had found a thread that runs through the lives of all these exceptional people. He said, ''I write about people who sometime in their life...have a vision or dream of something that should be accomplished...and they go to work. They are beaten over the head, knocked down, vilified and for years they get nowhere. But every time they're knocked down they stand up. You cannot destroy these people. And at the end of their lives they've accomplished some modest part of what they set out to do.'' They didn't have a survival mentality, but an overcoming mentality.
When we change our mind--we change our life!
Get back up!
Go to work!
Believe you and God are enough!

1 John 5:14 TPT
"
Since we have this confidence, we can also have great boldness before him, for if we present any request agreeable to his will, he will hear us. 15 And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we also know that we have obtained the requests we ask of him."

We have a new arrow! Thanks be to God.

Psalms 127:4-5 (NIV)
“
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with the opponents in court.”

Here is our newest arrow. Meet Rena Grace "Gracie" Phillips. Born June 20, 2020. She weighed in at 7.4 pounds and was 21 and 1/2 inches long. She took three days trying to make it into this world, and nothing about her birth was conventional, but her and Mommy are doing great. Thanks for all the prayers. I should apologize now for overwhelming you with photos and details. I promise I will return to normal, but then again--isn't this normal.

Our youngest daughter and her husband brought forth our first granddaughter.  As the Grinch says, "Our heart grew three sizes." Not that we were Grinches, only with our own children. We didn't know it could get any bigger. Our two grandsons fill our life with joy unspeakable. We give God glory daily for all we have been given.
Picture
ACTION STEP: Point the arrows God has given you at the target He has for your children, grandchildren and all the little ones God has given you charge over. You and I will have to answer for what we do concerning God's children. Let's do our best! I'll pray for you and you pray for me. God will hear our prayers. After all, children are a heritage of the Lord and they are our legacy! So, go ahead release the arrow into the Lord's hands and then, if you're still struggling ask someone for help. None of us are born experts.

Psalm 127:3-5 TPT
"Children are God’s love-gift; they are heaven’s generous reward.
Children born to a young couple will one day rise to protect
and provide for their parents.
Happy will be the couple who has many of them!
A household full of children will not bring shame on your name
but victory when you face your enemies,
for your offspring will have influence and honor[b]
to prevail on your behalf!"

After twelve years of marriage and infertility test, lots of tries and losses, we have our first "belly baby" grandchild. Our little granddaughter came into the world June 20, 2020 weighing 7.4 lbs. and was 21 1/2 inches long. She will never understand the prayers, the sleepless nights, the digging a prayer ditch and people all over the world being in agreement with me and our family. Pictures to follow I promise.
Picture
I want to thank every single person who has faithfully prayed for our family. I've never seen two little boys so happy to finally have a baby sister. They squirmed and giggled and ran around in circles. I did that too, but only on the inside. If you have been on this journey with us? We want you to know you are part of our miracle, and for that we are grateful. God is good. God is faithful. God still does miracles.
ACTION STEP: This is a short Blog today. I am one tired Nonna. We celebrated Fathers Day yesterday and my two little men made homemade gifts for Daddy, for Fathers Day, and for Mommy and Gracie, to show them how much we love them. Here are some photo's from my lil Picasso's.
Write a letter to someone today thanking them for staying with you on the journey. Do something with your children, grandchildren or the neighbors children. Notice chalk drawings in the driveway next door? Drop off a brand new box of chalk. Bake a cake for the family and let the kids help. Give a parent a day off. Enjoy the moments because they can not be re-captured. Look forward to an entire Blog about Gracie....I need to get to see her in person first. I am still in awe.

God must be trying to tell me something.

6/19/2020

God must be trying to tell me something. I am doing my best to succeed at a patio garden, which will include an herb garden since I love to cook. Some seeds have taken off, others are struggling to hold on. I've attempted to pick off all the suckers (the growth shoots just below the fruit) and keep the tomato plants tied up and watered from the bottom. There are just so many things I don't know. There are many things I learn too late. And still, there are things that I don't know, I don't know yet. So I Google. I laughed when I noticed the first two letters of Google are the same as God. Truth is I want to talk to my Dad. He gardened all my life. He taught us as we went. I was 5 to 13 years old. How much attention was I really paying to my Dad about plants? That's right very little. This year is different.
Picture
This year is different because i care. This year is different because my Dad isn't here as we approach Fathers Day I miss him dearly. This year my daughter is bringing forth her first "Belly Baby" to grow up with her to big brothers. Things are growing all around me. Times have changed, but growing things is as important today as it was years ago. There are still things we need to learn. We still need to have patience. There is still hard work to do. Then, the Lord allowed me an epiphany. "In the process of growth--there is character formation; and character formation takes time." Now, I think everyone needs to try to garden, at least once. There are things we learn with our hands in the dirt we can't learn any other way. We have got to get in the mess to learn how to get out. Jesus came here to become one of us, to show us how to get out of here. We needed a model. We still do.
Picture
So, whether it is growing a garden or bringing forth a child we have to wait. This year I am waiting on both. My patience is being developed in a way I have never had it developed. I know God created both processes. At times like these I can only depend on the creator and maker of both. This time God has my total attention. Why? Because this time I have an investment worthy of all the attention I can muster. The battle to keep a watchful eye on all I am growing takes more attention than I expected. At this age, I am paying attention. I want to share all I learn before I leave this earth. There is a sense of responsibility to what is yet to come. Now, I am ready for that responsibility.
ACTION STEP: Pay attention to what God has to teach us through nature. Heed the instructions of those that know more than we do. The Bible will be our first text book. Prayer will be the way to understand what lies ahead. Go ahead, give yourself the opportunity to plant something, even if a flower in a pot.

Miracles come for various reasons.

6/18/2020

While studying the miracles there began to emerge a hidden truth I had never seen before. If the miracles were not enough I noticed a "Why and a What" else God was wanting us to see. The video attached below will explain more in detail.  But, for example what was the reason behind healing the man with the withered hand? I began to feel the compassion of God that He must have had toward this man. Can you imagine wanting to reach for something, but not being able to do so? Imagine never being able to hold a loved ones hand? Not being able to grasp for an item you need, a job you want, a partner for life...There is a miracle for what is out of our reach.
Picture
Then, when Jesus healed the paralytic, what was He wanting to show us? Have you ever been paralyzed with fear? Fear of failure? Fear of rejection? Fear of never measuring up? Not being good enough? I have. I have been afraid to make a decision, for fear it would be the wrong decision. I have feared ending a relationship because I feared being alone. There are lots of reasons we can be paralyzed. However, this I know. God has compassion on us and is wanting for us to tell Him what we need. He is our need meeter.
Picture
These are the days that God is beginning to show His mighty power again. This time He wants you and I to be the vessels He works through. These are the days He wants to use His children to do the works Jesus did while on this earth and greater works than these because He is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding for us. Let's do this! There are people all over the world that need a miracle and they need it now!
Action Step: Take time today to watch this video above. If it does not show up then click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuDGqSMHVQ0.  Ask God for a miracle today. God is in the miracle business. If you are lonely, ashamed, when things seem out of your grasp, when your walk is hindered, Jesus is there waiting to help you, heal you, make you whole. He is also there to work through you to bring a miracle into someone else's life. What are you waiting for?

Are all miracles of God?

6/17/2020

Not everything that is miraculous is from God. To put it simply, either miracles are based on Christ and the Bible or else they are connected with demons and the world of the occult. Just as Christ’s miracles were intended to lead men and women to Him, Satan wants his miracles to lead multitudes to worship him.
Picture
As far as the miracles of Christ are concerned it is particularly notable that the enemies of Christ never sought to deny the powerful works he performed (Matt 12:22-24) and they did not argue that they had not taken place. They attempted to attribute this works to the power of the Devil.

What Is The Purpose Of God’s Miracles?
Usually miracles help someone in need. But the meaning is always deeper: God gets our attention so that we are invited to look beyond the event to a Miracle Worker. Clearly if the purpose of Christ’s miracles was only to help someone in need, thousands more would have been healed etc. The simple fact is this: The primary purpose of the miracles was to authenticate the message of Christ and the apostles. Today, it is the same. When someone in a family gets a miracle the entire family is confronted with the opportunity to believe, that God intervened and worship Him and furthermore accept Him as their Lord and Savior. This was the story that happened over and over again through out the Bible.
Picture
When I was in Africa I prayed for a baby who was born blind to see. Before I left Africa the baby was playing Peek-a-Boo. Another miracle on the same day, in the same place, there was a little girl who was normal in every way. She was elementary school age and could not go to school, because she had contacted Malaria. The high fever had left her deaf. After praying for her. God did a miracle. The last I heard she continues to improve and is only hearing impaired and attending school once again. In India they were going to ostracize a woman from the community because she and her husband had not conceived a child, so they considered her evil and even went as far as saying she was demon possessed, and a witch. She dressed in all black and sat in the back on the church. I called her forth, and when I laid hands on her God said to me, "She has not womb." So, I laid my hands on her and ask God to do a creative miracle. When I explained to the congregation she had been born with no womb they gasp. I latter learned in the presence of men words such as those are not to be spoken. God does not care about culture--He loves people. People are God's business. He wanted to perform a miracle in this woman's life, which He did. I later heard she gave birth to a little boy. That church was changed because of a miracle, culture was broken but a woman was made whole and her marriage saved.
Picture
ACTION STEP: God wants to break through the hardened hearts of this world. God wants to break trough cultural barriers. God wants to break old thought patterns and traditions, and show Himself (His Love), because He is love, to His people. Now, is the time for miracles. This is the day for a miracle. God wants to use you to perform a miracle through to those who are in need of a miracle. Are you available? Is your character able to give God the glory and not keep it for yourself as Satan did? The war is raging. Greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world. Fight the good fight of faith. Remind yourself of who you are. You are a child of God. You are the redeemed. The Name of Jesus is for you to use with all authority. Be who you are created to be! The world needs to see His Love. Love never fails!
