My God encounter~Will you go?

You could say I am pretty much a vegetarian. I just don't enjoy meat much. I occasionally enjoy fish and don't mind a bit a good hamburger, meat in my chili and spaghetti sauce but, just to crave a big old piece of animal is not my thing. However, yesterday I had a real hankering for some BBQ. I was wanting some fire cooked meat. Didn't matter if it was turkey, ham, beef or chicken. I just wanted some meat. I should have known then God was up to something. The sheet was sent down with everything on it I don't typically eat. 

Acts 10:9-16 (NKJV) The next day, as they went on their journey and drew near the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour.  Then he became very hungry and wanted to eat; but while they made ready, he fell into a trance  and saw heaven opened and an object like a great sheet bound at the four corners, descending to him and let down to the earth.  In it were all kinds of four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, creeping things, and birds of the air.  And a voice came to him, “Rise, Peter; kill and eat.” But Peter said, “Not so, Lord! For I have never eaten anything common or unclean.” And a voice spoke to him again the second time, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”  This was done three times. And the object was taken up into heaven again.

Opening my Google on my cell phone I began to dictate what I was looking for. Location turned on and Yelp helping me out several choices came up. One particular one kept coming up in all the apps, and was listed as being close, and 4.3 stars. So I hit the direction button and off I went. When I pulled into the parking lot I was a bit hesitant. I walked up to the counter and began to question the man with the apron about what he had to offer. A young lady asked, "Do you want to sample anything?" "Sure", I said and at that was given a pound of different smoked meats. They were all delicious. I ordered and sat down to wait. That's when I had this urgency from God. "She has one son, she's not married, and she needs to come back to me. She is ripe for the harvest." I was tempted to shake it off. I received my order and started to eat. Still this gnawing in my spirit continued. The hunger was subsiding but the Holy Spirit was persistent. 

​I got up and went over to her and said, "You have one son and he is the light of your life, but you have no husband and the man you are living with is not the one. God is calling you back to him. You are smart and this is not the way God wants you to raise your son. The man you are with is not good for you. You are smarter than that." Her eyes opened wide and she swallowed hard and said, "everything you said is right on. How did you know all that?" I told her I didn't but God does, and He wanted her attention. God wants you to come back to Him. Her eyes began to fill with water and she tried to shake it off. I went back to my meal.

When I was finished eating I went out to the car and put some things in a bag including an easy to read Bible, a CD and a book with my business card. When I went in and handed her the bag I said, "I am really almost a vegetarian, I couldn't understand why I even wanted to come here today. I realized I didn't but God wanted me to come for you.

God will send someone your way or perhaps He will send you. Be ready!
