Passwords and Heaven

The world in which we live has become so complicated. The reason for the complication being sin. Why do I say that? Because if everyone was honest we wouldn't need passwords. We wouldn't need to constantly change the passwords and add numbers, and characters, but not the same numbers, or characters. Really? Do that many people care about stealing my information? My money? My identity? I guess they do if it gets them what they want. It really boils down to that, getting what we want. Eve was willing to eat the formidable fruit and Adam went right along with her. Satisfy my five physical senses and you got me! Is it really that easy to take ownership of people? It is if they don't already belong to someone who will give them all they ever need or ask for.

However, if I know that someone loved me so much they gave their life for me, I probably wouldn't be so quick to sale out. This is why it is so important for you and I to share our testimony. People need to know about that kind of love. The kind of love that gives up everything, so you can have what you need and desire. Jesus did that. I believe that, so that settles so many issues for me. I can't be bought with a price because I already belong to someone. He purchased me with His precious blood. I am no longer my own. Christ lives in me. Because Christ lives in me I have the power to resist temptation that others fall prey, not because I am so strong or great, but because greater is He that is in me--than He that is in the world.

When you love someone, you want to please them. When you love someone your desire is to make them happy. You want to be around the person you love forever. Well, sin separates us from God, just like it separated Adam and Eve from God. This is why Jesus had to come. Jesus' death, burial and resurrection reunited us with the Father if we believe that He did and ask Him to be our lord and savior. We ask Him to be Lord, not just Savior because we want Him to be the boss, the master of our life. Jesus will make much better decisions for us than we could ever make on our own. So, it all comes back to knowing the Passwords. To get into heaven we need Romans 10:9-10. But, the Password to heaven never changes. The password to heaven is always Jesus. The Bible tells us He is the Way, the Truth and the Light and no one comes to the Father but through Him.

ACTION STEP: It all comes down to what you want? What do you want bad enough to give up everything? Many will choose fame, fortune, and fun. Many will choose to gratify the flesh. Few will choose to deny their flesh and have faith in God.The choice is ours. Each of us have a free will and because wide is the way to destruction, and narrow is the way to the Father, many will choose to go the wrong way. So, while we are on this earth, we need to keep changing those passwords. We need to pray for God's protection from those that are wicked and selfish. But, more importantly we need to pray for all people, everywhere, that they would choose to confess Jesus as Lord. There will be no passwords in heaven. All the choices we make to decide our destination are made right here, on earth. Have you made your decision?
