"Yes, Lord,” she replied, “I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.”
Moses stood before a burning bush and said "YES" to God who commanded him to go to Pharaoh, King of Egypt, and confront Him with what thus says the Lord in the release of God's people, even though doing so could have cost him his life, so he thought.
The prophet Isaiah said these profound words concerning God's will for a voice to cry out to the people on His behalf. Isaiah said "YES LORD, here I am! Send me."
Mary, the mother of Jesus at the conversation between her and the Angel Gabriel, said "YES" to God's will for her life as Mother of the Savior of the world. Luke 1:38-Mary said, “I am the Lord’s servant! Let it happen as you have said.” And the angel left her.
The woman at the well said "YES LORD" when she replied to Jesus with these profound words: "I believe that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, who is to come into the world."
Saul, aka the Apostle Paul said "Yes" to Jesus when he was commanded to bare the name of Jesus before the Gentiles and their kings, and before the sons of Israel after meeting Jesus on the road to Damascus.
Today, God is listening to hear "YES LORD" from you.
Jesus Himself said "YES" to leaving His home in heaven and putting on flesh to come to earth to die for the sins of humanity, knowing that He was also saying yes to 'REJECTION, FALSE ACCUSATIONS, HATRED, DENIAL OF WHO HE WAS, CRUCIFIXION AND EVENTUALLY DEATH ON A CROSS", BUT YET HE STILL SAID "YES," so that you and I could be reconciled back to God by faith, through the shedding of His blood.
By saying “yes” to God, we are essentially saying, that our relationship with Him is more important than anything in this world.
Are you willing to say "YES" to the will of God for your life?
Everyone of us was created for a purpose. If you don't know what your purpose is, seek God for direction.
What I have found out about my purpose is that it was already my passion. Teaching the Word of God is my passion and my purpose, especially to leaders. Writing is a passion.
If you say "YES" to the Lord today, He promises you in Psalm 32:8, "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you."
God will not ask anything of us that we are not capable of doing. Once He Hears our "YES LORD", He begins to stir up and develop that "gift" He has already placed in us when he created us.
