Seize the opportunities.

Colossians 4: 5
"Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity."

Ephesians 5:15
"Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is."

Henry Drummond wrote: "I shall pass through this world but once. Any good thing, therefore, that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."

September 11th 2001 will go down in History as a day of terror a day of shock and a day when the innocence of the world was damaged forever.
It was a moment when some Muslim men seized the moment to murder and maim innocent people. They made a deliberate choice and were prepared to face the consequences.
About 2000 years earlier a man called Jesus Christ seized the moment when he was arrested in Jerusalem to change the world forever for good.
Jesus mindful of this moment in a garden called
Gethsemane, realized the awesome moment this was in his life.
He prayed for God’s strength to take him through the few intense hours that were to follow and he prayed about a possible plan B.
Luke chapter 22; 42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." 43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. 44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.
When there was no plan B presenting Jesus Seized the moment and changed the known world forever.
Throughout history since many men and women have seized the moment for God and grown the Kingdom of God on earth.
The reason we have enjoyed a reasonably secure century and a half of history in this nation is because we, our society was founded on a Christian style of government.
In the past Christian men and women have seized the moment to attempt to build a Christian based society.
Current moves threaten to plunge the world into a new dark age of moral decline and brutal dictatorships.
We live on a precipice of history and the future will ultimately depend on brave Christian men and women who seize the moment for God.
Little acts of bravery in the Christian faith produce great growth and fruit.
You know we need to seize the moment and act straight away, the way God wants us too in these situations.

ACTION STEP:  Look for opportunities that the Lord brings and seize them! Take advantage of moments of chance, such as a waiter or waitress, check out clerk or mail person. Timing is of essence. I believe God is setting us up this year. The time is short and He wants us to put in the sickle and bring in the Harvest. Stay expectant. Ask someone to join you this Sunday and pick them up and take them to eat lunch afterwards. God will repay. You will not lose. You will gain.

It's not a gift until you give it away. Give the gift if Jesus to someone this weekend. I look forward to being back with you on Monday.

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

Day 13 of the 21 day fast. Thirsty Thursday.

Psalm 42:1
"As the deer longs for streams of water, so I long for you, O God."

Picture
I’ve been reflecting on spiritual disciplines, practices, and activities that nurture my desire for God and make my love for God come alive.

HERE ARE 7 WAYS TO INCREASE YOUR SPIRITUAL HUNGER TODAY:

1. SPEND TIME IN SCRIPTURE.  Something about spending time in God’s Word just makes me want to know more of the character, attributes, presence and power of God.

2. CARVE OUT TWENTY MINUTES OF UNBROKEN SILENCE.  I have a theory that for some people silence comes easier; for other people, stillness comes easier. If I try to sit still, I’m easily distracted. But silence comes more naturally. When I enter into a time of silence with God and allow my mind to be drawn to who he is, my desire for God grows.

3. LISTEN TO STORIES OF HOW GOD IS AT WORK IN SOMEONE ELSE’S LIFE.  Stories of God moving, healing, revealing, providing, strengthening, speaking, and showing himself spark my faith and make me want more and more.

4. FAST.  Even fasting a single meal helps me center my thoughts and mind more on  my need for God.

5. ASK FOR THE DESIRE YOU DON’T HAVE.  Sometimes I don’t want God. I don’t have any longing, not even the faintest whim. That’s when I pray, “God, I want to want you.” What’s amazing is that God soon answers this prayer with another glimpse of himself.

6. TAKE A HIKE. (NO, REALLY!). Being in creation draws my heart and mind to the creator. Nature is ablaze with reminders of God’s power, sovereignty, provision, goodness, tender care, and so much more. The more I experience expressions of God the more I want to experience him.

7. BE FAITHFUL IN PRAYER.  I still keep a prayer list at the back of my Bible as a reminder of God’s faithfulness that I started years ago. Many of the prayers on the list are immeasurable (aka: praying for political leaders) or haven’t been answered in the way I’d hoped, but in others I see God’s power displayed. Such answered prayer makes me want to pray all the more-and increases my appetite for God.

ACTION STEP:  Try out the 7 steps above. You can begin today to fast with us, only 8 days left. You can fast one meal a day, or eat like Daniel. A daniel fast is no dairy, meats, cheeses, sweets, essentially just root vegetables, grain, legumes, and fruits. It is not to be pleasant foods like you would desire, but whatever would be necessary to sustain life. You may choose to do only water and juices. Whatever you decide to do as you seek direction from God, will bring you one step closer to intimacy, with our Father.

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

Day 12 of 21 day fast. "How to," steps to make dreams a reality.

1/12/2022

ACTS 2:17
"In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."
Picture
In order to turn a dream into a reality one needs a MAP-Massive Action Plan.

I have found there are four stages to a dream. If you know what stage your in, it takes some of the stress off.

Here’s a breakdown of the four stages:

1. Dream-When you’re in the dreaming phase, you discover your what, how, when, and who.

2. Distress-In this stage, you move from unconscious incompetence to a conscious incompetence. To put it another way, you know you’re not qualified for the job. You realize the difficulty of the task at hand and wonder what you got yourself into. This usually results in some kind of fear.

3. Develop-After you go through distress, you will gain an understanding of what you need to develop to reach the next level. In this stage, you get knowledge, skill, and wisdom to overcome your restraints. You’ll partake in activities like developing a plan for funding, connecting with people and systems, bolstering your education and skillset, and looking for a mentor in the industry. At this point, through intentionally overcoming your constraints, you reach the point of conscious competence.

4. Demonstrate-This is a stage of enjoyment! Your vision is now reality, so your focus is now about how to improve and refine. At this stage, you are a model and mentor for others. And the icing on the cake is that you really start to see results! Better yet, you will have developed unconscious competence. This means that you don’t have to think about what you’re doing every moment of the day. Your craft has become natural for you. You have learned and developed in such a way that you no longer have to agonize over every step, so you can better flow wherever the Holy Spirit leads you to go. You may not even be aware of the degrees of influence you have.

ACTION STEP: Write your dream down with a date, then it becomes a Goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action turns dreams into reality. I posted an image below you may want to print and put where you can see it everyday.

Day 11 of the 21 day fast. Run your race. Release your arrows!

2 Timothy 4:7
"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:"

1 Corinthians 9:24-27
"Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things."
Picture
Release everything that's inside of you. Get back up and try again. Never give up. We are not a failure if we have failed. We are not a failure if we are getting a late start. We are only a failure if we fail to try again.

Many people got a late start. Ruth got a late start as a widow. Esther got a late start as an orphan. Both had to submit to authority--one an uncle the other a mother in law. However, both were successful finishers.

Samson got a great start but made a few wrong decisions and lost his way in the middle of the race. He finished well but it was not a pleasant ending for him.

Joseph and Daniel both started well and finished well. How? They stayed the course, remained disciplined and refused to quit. If this is a message you want to hear go to our church website and click on watch now and then archives or click here:

The brain is a muscle, the more you exercise it, the better focused it becomes, and the more the brain is able to stay focused. This is a new year. I challenge you to do something different, so you can have something different. When we are focused we are much more able, to complete a task or project. God is both Alpha and Omega. God starts and He finishes. We are made in His image, therefore we are able to do so as well. Nothing is impossible. Surround yourself with people that believe in you. Share with your network what you are doing, so they can hold you accountable. Get started today! Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Day 7 of 21 day fast. What's eating you?

Matthew 6;17,18
"Jesus said: “ But thou, when thou fastest,
anoint thine head, and wash thy face; That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.”
Picture
Every year at this time my husband and I call a 21 day fast to seek the Lord, pray and fill ourselves, with the word of God. When we became pastors we began to challenge our congregation to do the same. We have experienced great benefits both personally and corporately. Yes, people question us, think we are weird, and have all sorts of opinions, on why we shouldn't do this. This year, it's you might get COVID. Well, every year people get things whether they fast or not. Which is what my video is about today. We are all individuals, and we are not all called to the same walk of life. I always tell people, "You do you, and I'll do me." This works. I personally benefit from starting my year off denying my flesh and feeding my spirit. I do me. I believe the rest of my life is the best of my life.

To view the video below click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jfo6GJJy3kg
ACTION STEP:  "Set your intentions and the "How to?" will follow." When we really want something we go for it. The difficulty is figuring out what you want bad enough, to give up all, to go for it. Sit down today and write 25 things that you are really grateful for on one side of a sheet of paper. Then, on the other side of the paper, from those 25 things pick three things that energize you, and bring you the most joy. Now, go do those three things as a service to others, to the best of your ability. Soon, that may very well become your business.

Entrepreneurship is the fastest way to satisfaction, joy and prosperity. God designed us to be fruitful and multiply. Just go be, and do, what you were designed for and the blessing will come.

If you believe you can, opportunities will come. Seize them!

“Depending on what they are, our habits will either make us or break us. We become what we repeatedly do.”
―Sean Covey

Picture
When you're at a point where you feel ready to take yourself to the next level, how do you make it happen?

When you want to succeed in new ways, what are the next couple of moves you must take?

Here are a dozen significant ways you can help yourself get from where you are to where you want to be:

1. Don't let yesterday's mistakes make you afraid of tomorrow. Instead of getting swept up in the past, bring forward only the things that will help you succeed in the future. Everyone has setbacks, challenges, failures, mistakes and adversities, but you always have a choice of what you carry ahead with you.

2. Treat every experience as a resource. Think of all your experiences--good and bad--as a library of resources, available anytime you need the wisdom and accumulated knowledge they hold. Experience is your first and best teacher, a powerful source of information tailored exactly for you. Treat it as an asset in creating the life you want.

3. Know what drives you. It's important to understand what drives and motivates you, because that knowledge allows you to go after what you want. We all have moments in our lives that give us our motivation and our drive to pursue what we want. Stay connected to those moments so you can tap into them when you need inspiration.

4. Find your sphere of influence. Surround yourself with people you can work with to create a powerful network of like- minded people who can help one another go to the next level.

5. Think bigger than yourself. Now and then we all find ourselves at a turning point, a time when life seems to be asking us to choose between staying stuck in the same place and moving out to something new where the destination is yet to be determined. If you venture out, the tests and hardships you meet along the way will boost your courage and help you become more than we ever thought possible.

6. Grab your map and compass. Even setting out in a spirit of adventure, you need a map, so you know where you are, and a compass, so you know what direction you're moving in. Make the kind of plans you need to have both elements firmly in place before you take the next step.

7. Find your triggers. We all have triggers, and you're the only one who can defeat yours. The secret to permanently breaking through a trigger is finding something greater--whether it's faith or family or your desire to reach your potential and meet your goals. When you overcome your triggers, you overcome any self-destructive behavior that may be holding you back.

8. Remember that the pain of the process is temporary but the feeling of achievement lasts forever. Failure doesn't mean the game is over, it means try again--but this time with experience. Failures are part of life, so don't let temporary setbacks keep you from success. Persistence is the key, so simply refuse to give up.

9. Have faith in baby steps. As you know, you don't have to see the whole staircase to take the first step. Keep taking small steps, and watch them begin adding up to big results.

10.Find your line in the sand. Especially in times of change, you need to know who you are and what's important to you, what you'll tolerate and what you won't, where you can say yes and where you can never compromise. When you do, you can assure you stay on track by steering yourself away from the distraction of misplaced priorities.

11. Make friends with fear. Learn to be OK with failure, secure in your commitment and knowing you won't quit when things get hard.

12. Reinvent yourself as needed. Reinvention doesn't mean altering who you are or what you are about--it may be as simple as a new method of pursuing the same dream.

At the end of the day, if you want to get yourself from here to there, you need to take everything you know and everything you need to learn forward.

ACTION STEP:  By the inch it's a cinch by the yard it is hard. Take the first step in the right direction and the next step will appear. The first step of any journey is the hardest. How bad do you want it? I wanted it really bad. That is why I can lead the way. I followed someone first. If you need someone to lead the way with skin on? Get a coach. A coach didn't just make the difference for me it was the difference. He (Dr. Keith Johnson) is starting another class just like the one I graduated from and am now certified in less than 2 weeks. ACTION STEP:  Take this free assessment it is not my intellectual property. The assessment that i am working on will deal more with abandonment that happened to someone as a child and how it affects their adult life in the areas of Health, Wealth and Relationships.

Love Me, Don’t Leave Me Self-Assessment: Abandonment Core Belief © 2014 Michelle Skeen / New Harbinger Publications.

Permission is granted to reader to reproduce this form for personal use.

Abandonment Core Belief Self-Assessment The abandonment core belief is a perceived instability or unreliability of those on whom you relied for support and connection. It involves the belief that the significant person or people in your life will not be able to provide emotional support, connection, or protection because they are emotionally unstable and unpredictable, unreliable or erratically present, and/or will die or abandon you for someone else.

Rate the following statements using the scale below: 1 = completely untrue of me 2 = mostly untrue of me 3 = slightly more true than untrue of me 4 = moderately true of me 5 = mostly true of me 6 = describes me perfectly

1. I worry a lot that the people I love will die or leave me.

2. I cling to people because I am afraid they will leave me.

3. I do not have a stable base of support.

4. I keep falling in love with people who cannot be there for me in a committed way.

5. People have always come and gone in my life.

6. I get desperate when someone I love pulls away.

7. I get so obsessed with the idea that my lovers will leave me that I drive them away.

8. The people closest to me are unpredictable. One minute they are there for me and the next minute they are gone.

9. I need other people too much.

10. In the end I will be alone.

Total Score Love Me, Don’t Leave Me Self-Assessment: Abandonment Core Belief Add up the points from each statement to get your total score. 1

0–19: Very low. This core belief probably does not apply to you.

20–29: Fairly low. This core belief may apply only occasionally.

30–39: Moderate. This core belief is an issue in your life.

40–49: High. This is definitely an important core belief for you.

50–60: Very high. This is a powerful core belief for you.

Note: If you have a low score but you have at least one statement that you rated a 5 or 6, then this core belief is an issue in your life

Beloved,
do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.
But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.

ACTION STEP:  When doing God’s will and purpose for your life you will go through trials, but we must not choose our will over His. We must always trust that God has a plan and He has a reason for allowing something to happen. Continue to commit to Him doing His will, trust in Him.

Tough times and obstacles in life, build Christian character and faith. Meditate on Scripture and you will know everything is going to be okay.

Pour your heart out to God, because He hears you cries and He will help you.

Walk in obedience to His Word, continue to give Him thanks, and remember God is near and He is forever faithful.

Even when bad situations feel like they will never end, let Jesus Christ be your motivation to fight. Remember, Ruth and Esther.

Go to www.renaperozich.com and schedule an appointment with me which will include a free assessment. Get me as your coach and watch how with God and some direction you can have a fresh start. Lots of people got a late start in the Bible but they finished well. Think about Ruth. Ruth had a list of losses but with the help of Naomi and the right attitude had a great ending. Esther had a late and painful start left as an orphan, but with the help of her coach Uncle Mortdecai she finished well. It's never too late to have a Fresh Start.

I'm back! Happy New Year!

2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"
Picture
I was at my end. The end of me as I knew me, wasn't able to serve and help people the way I wanted. I wanted to be able to take hurting, hopeless people, to become all that they were created to be. I wanted for them to love life. I desired that they live their dream. What I didn't know was how? I was reading my Bible, fasting, exercising, pastoring, writing this Blog--doing everything I knew to do, but it was never enough. It never is when you've experienced trauma, rejection and abandonment. No matter how hard I worked, my clients weren't getting the results. What was missing? My own help and healing.

If you don't think you can then, you can't help others think they can. We can only take others as far as we have gone ourselves, or at the very least as far as we believe in ourselves. To believe in others we must first believe in oneself. This is why I end every Blog by saying, "I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

As a coach who is certified by America's #1 Confidence Coach, I can attest to the fact that we all need someone to believe in us. We need someone to see the greatness in us, if only in seed form. God knows this. In His Word He reminds us that He has a future for us of good, and not evil. In fact, the entire Bible is all about God believing in us, and loving us so much, that He set in order a plan to redeem us; so He could spend eternity with us. That's love!

I took the last week of the year 2021 off to seek God and His plan for my life, to rest and recover, from a busy year and spend some time with my husband. It was exactly what I needed to begin 2022. I cleaned out my coat closet and several drawers. Just that little release of clutter, helped me to feel more organized and motivated. Then, I took my computer in for maintenance. What I thought was a slow, over full memory was in reality a broken antenna. For less than $100.00 my computer now works at the speed of light. Just like my closet and drawers and computer--I needed cleaned up and organized, and reset. What we make happen for ourselves, we are able to translate into the minds of others, so they can see themselves do the same, if not better. As a coach, I pave the way for others. As a Christian, I lay my life down to serve others. In this, I have found joy and received my reward already. Heaven will be a confirmation of what I already possess in my heart. You are my reward.

So, from an Abandoned, lost and searching soul, to one who is accepted and has found her way to freedom from performance, people pleasing, anxiety and lack in less than 15 months, I am ready to serve you.

You can start 2022 with a new you. You can begin today by setting up a scheduled time with me at www.renaperozich.com

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.
