"Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it."
The first thing I learned was what is an ellipses and an en dash? Yeah, that's what I thought too. That is why I say work with a publisher that makes you feel comfortable. I used Wendy Walters at Palm Tree Publishing located in Texas. She was referred to me by Dr. John Kelly of ICAL (International Coalition of Apostles.) She literally encouraged me, and never made the process or what I didn't know seem overwhelming. You need that when you start out, unless you have a coach or someone else helping you that has been there, and done that.
Here is a beginners guide from my perspective on writing your first book:
1. Be obedient. By this I mean write on what is in you that needs to come out. What is that subject that just keeps surfacing? What has God been talking to you about? Did God asks you to write a book? What is your "Why" to write?
2. Just start writing. Everyday. Write something.
3. Read 10 books minimum on the subject you are wanting to write on. But, here is a bigger tip: Keep a journal of quotes you want to use from those books, in your own book so you don't have to go looking for it latter.
I will continue these tips all week. See you here tomorrow.
And remember, I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.
