This week we have been discussing preparedness. Packing for the road is hard. It's the decisions that get me. So, I always over pack and promise myself I will never do it again. Then, next time I'm out the door, I struggle to get my suitcase picked up and put in the car. So much for the promise I made to travel light.
This got me thinking about heaven. I don't have to pack. I just have to be ready. I don't have to worry about what I will eat, the lord is preparing that supper for me. As far as clothes go I understand I will be dressed in glory. We will all look like Jesus so, no need to worry about what the dress code will be. Won't have to decide what jewelry or shoes to wear either. As far as I am concerned men live on earth like in heaven--they get up and go. So, my prayer is Lord help me to scale down so I can lift You up.

ACTION STEP: Don't take yourself so seriously. Truthfully, what we say, and how we treat people will be remembered more than the shoes we wear, and that is hard for me to write, cause you know how I am about the shoes.
