Prophetic Evangelism~ #1 Gifts of the Spirit

4/30/2018

Paul taught, "We have different gifts, according to the grace given us... let [us] use [them] in proportion to [our] faith," Romans 12:6.The spiritual gifts are found in three separate passages in the New Testament (Romans 12; 1 Corinthians 12–14; and Ephesians 4). The lists are not exactly identical. Some overlapping occurs. According to 1 Corinthians 12:6, God the Father pours in the power, Jesus the Son assigns the ministry, and God the Holy Spirit gives out the gifts as He deems necessary for the proper functioning of the church body.
Picture
It breaks my heart that the spiritual gifts don't seem to be taught or emphasized much throughout Christendom these days. Their utilization is critical for the Church to function properly in society.
The gifts may be organized in several ways. We will use the most common grouping.

Establishing Gifts (Ephesians 4:11 and 1 Corinthians 12:29): Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, and Pastor-Teachers. These gifts are used primarily for planting and growing churches.
Supporting Gifts (Romans 12:6-8): Prophecy, Service, Teaching, Encouragement, Giving, Administration/Leadership, and Mercy. These gifts are used primarily to organize and administrate the church so that it may best carry out its responsibilities.
Ministry Gifts (1 Corinthians 12:8-10, 27-31): Wisdom, Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Miracles, Prophecy, Helps, Administration, Leadership, Distinguishing Spirits, Speaking in Tongues, and Interpreting Tongues. These are the tools that the Holy Spirit utilizes for the ongoing ministry of the church.
Many saw the gifts in me before I knew anything about gifts. I would be at a prayer meetings just praying and my pastors at that time pulled me aside and informed that I was praying prophetically. I was praying way beyond my natural knowledge of the Bible. I would write songs that were way beyond my word level and certainly beyond my maturity level. It happens.

Just like we don't get a baby Holy Spirit when we receive the Holy Spirit we do not get a baby Evangelism gift, or a baby Prophetic gift. We get the gift.  Then our maturity level and character level has to catch up with our gift. This is why we need leadership and a covering in our life so desperately. We naturally do not know, what we do  not know. We have to be taught and groomed in our area of gifting.

When I first started to hear the voice of God I thought everything I heard prophetically I was supposed to share. I had no idea that the first and foremost thing that I was supposed to do was pray and ask God what He wanted to do with and about what He told me. Many times it was about trusting and obeying. It was about covering people in the faith and interceding for them to go the way of the Lord and not the way of the world.

So as I share this week on the gifts spend some time with the Lord and ask Him what He wants to do with your gifts. Ask Him how the operation of your gift looks? To whom do you operate the gifts with? It is not enough to just know something. We must know something and know what to do about that something we know.

I hope this helps. I pray that you will seek the Lord and His divine Leadership in your life as to what to do with the gifts you have been given.

Paul advised Timothy, "Neglect not the gift that is in you," 1 Timothy 4:14.
Trust the Lord with all you have and know and lean not unto your own understanding but acknowledge Him in everything we do. Call others into accountability but only after you have placed yourself under the same scrutiny. Bring your gift to the light. Allow your gift to be judged. God never hides a lamp under a bushel. If you are gifted, your gift will make a way for you. Promotion will come. You will be put upon a lamp stand for all to see and come to the light.

Modeling the Leadership Style of Jesus ~#5 Live in the Spirit

4/27/2018

Today is the last day in our series. Yesterday, I told you I would finish giving you leadership steps to lead more like Jesus. However, in order to change anything we must be willing to change ourselves first. We change when we hurt bad enough we have to, or we learn enough we want to. I choose the later.
Picture
Words can Change Your World.
Words are destinations. God’s words are His destinations. The word destination is firmly tied to the word destiny. Destiny is a place in the future, your future. It is the ultimate end of a determined course, an expected end. Your world changes when your words change.

Words can Change Directions.
Your tongue is like a mighty rudder on a ship. Whatever controls your tongue, controls your destiny. Your tongue was designed by God to steer your life. The sooner you understand this, the sooner you can get your life moving in the right direction and you will be more able to step up in your love, your life and your lead.

Then you will receive Divine Appointments.
A divine appointment is a meeting ordained by the Holy Spirit that will change the course of your life. These types of meetings are filled with favor. Favor from one person can change your life overnight.
Your world changes when you decide to change. All change starts with a decision. Decisions determine the quality of your life. Whatever is happening in your life right now has something to do with decisions.

And Words Matter.
Your words make you different than everybody else. Difference is visible. Difference is heard. Difference is remembered. Difference is celebrated. Your difference will bring you before giants. And your difference will bring you before kings.

There is a Power of Expectation.
Words have the ability to chart a path into your future. Every thought you think, and every word you speak is creating something in your future. What you think about comes about. It’s called the power of expectation.

Every time there is a seasonal change in your life, words are involved. That’s because the Holy Spirit never puts new wine in old bottles. Finding success is easy when you know how.

Just Ask, Seek, Knock.
Some doors in your life are shut and locked. The lock itself is proof a key exists.Jesus taught his Disciples a spiritual principle called determined persistence. Determined persistence is a spiritual principle of the kingdom of God.

So, don’t Look at the Giants
Because How you see yourself decides how you will speak to giants. There are fearful grasshoppers and victorious giant killers. Words reveal the difference. The way you see yourself is the way others will see you.The way you see yourself is the way others will treat you. And the way you see yourself is the way the enemy will attack you.

There are Destiny Thieves
When you change the way you think, you will change the way you speak. This will start moving your life in the right direction. The mystery to success is saying what God says. When speaking, decreeing and declaring, several thieves will attack including demonic spirits, fear, doubt, confusion, vain imaginations, and unbelief.

So, Use Battle Ready Words.
“It is written.” These are the words necessary to stop demonic assignments against you in the unseen spirit world. Spiritual warfare is real. It’s a battle in the realm of the spirit, that’s why it’s called spiritual warfare. To be battle ready means you must learn how to use the various keys of the kingdom.

One of the keys is to Decree a Thing.
You have learned that your tongue steers your life. You have also discovered your authority to decree a thing. Scripture says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways” (Job 22:28).
Picture
Your spirit was designed by God with creative abilities beyond your wildest imagination. To understand yourself, you need to comprehend how God made you. You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. Your spirit is the part of you that was born again. Your spirit is the real you.

The Spirit calls to spirit. Deep calls out to deep. Feed your spirit the word of God so that the spirit part of you becomes supreme, then your soul will become your servant and your body will be the slave rather than the other way around. God designed us to be spirit led. We can only do that as we live by the spirit. The choice is yours.

Modeling the Leadership Style of Jesus~#4 Come Follow Me.

The disciples weren’t gifted leaders. In fact, they were dropouts. By the world’s standards, they didn’t have what it took. Yet God used them, 12 non-spectacular people, to change the world. Why? Jesus could have called the elite, the skilled, the highly desirable. He didn’t. Following Jesus is not for some elite few. Leaders in His Kingdom don’t have to be the most talented or special people in this world. They just have to know and follow Him.

Jesus turned ordinary men into world-changers. If Jesus could use them, we can’t rightly say He can’t use us.
Picture
We all have people in our lives who follow our example—our kids, our friends, our co-workers. We all have areas of influence, which means we all have opportunities to lead people to Jesus and to lead people to grow in their relationship with Him.
Leadership is not easy. It’s especially difficult when we lack confidence. But our confidence, our faith, our hope, our life isn’t in us. It’s in who Jesus is and what He has done. We can lead with confidence in Him even if we lack that confidence in ourselves.
Picture
There are several ways we can develop in our Leadership. I will share a few ways today and the rest tomorrow. They are all a bit challenging. I pray you are up for the challenge.THINK ABOUT OTHER PEOPLEDon’t just do this because it’s the second greatest commandment in the law. It will make you a better leader. Too often, we walk through life thinking only of ourselves and maybe our close bubble of friends and family.
Great leaders think about people outside of just their circle. That guy that cut you off in traffic, the co-worker who doesn’t pull their weight on a group project, the annoying neighbor who really needs a hobby, the waiter or waitress —try to put yourself in their shoes. Why do they do what they do? The more we think of others, the more considerate of them we naturally become.
PRAYThere is nothing more powerful than praying for people who frustrate you. Turn that road rage into fuel that lights the fire of grace in your heart. Pray for lost people, for frustrating people, for the people who bother you the most. It’s amazing what prayer can do in our hearts and in the hearts of those we pray for.
TAKE INITIATIVEIf you feel God pulling on your heart, see a need or just see an opportunity to help someone, do it. Don’t make excuses.
Leaders take action. They see a need and they find a way to meet that need. They can’t stand by doing nothing. Sometimes, it can be better to approach the yournspiritual leaders over you before doing something to make sure it works with what the church as a whole is doing. In those cases, take initiative to approach them. Bring them your plan, your idea, and offer your help along the way—or just bring yourself and ask how you can get help.
SERVEJesus said the greatest among us will be the one who serves. Leadership in the kingdom of God is not gaining power and authority for ourselves. It’s about serving. Find a place to serve. Find a way to serve. There is nothing that grows a leader in the kingdom faster than serving.
INVITE OTHERSWhatever you do, invite others to be a part of it—whether it’s leading a group through a Bible discussion or inviting others to serve alongside you at the church, an outreach event, or in some other way that brings glory to God in sharing the Gospel with others. Throughout the Bible, we see Jesus constantly inviting others to be a part of what He was doing. You may get turned down a lot, but never stop inviting.
LIVE ON MISSIONThe best leaders are not the ones who stand on a pedestal and bark out instructions. The best leaders set examples. They don’t even really think about it as leadership. They just live with a passion for Jesus and a drive to fulfill His calling on their lives. In the process of their faithfulness, they set an example for others to follow.
There are many places to lead. The opportunities are endless. The harvest is plentiful. The workers are few. The kingdom of God has a shortage of workers, not a shortage of opportunities. It’s time for the church of God’s people to step up and lead. It’s time for us to show the world the grace and love of God through our lives. It’s time to make this earth look a little more like heaven. To do that, we need leaders. We need you.

Words are Your Path To A Better Life Now

Words, you use them every day. With them, you communicate and make your thoughts known. Words provide insight into how you feel, what you’re thinking, and even where you’re going. Words have destinations. Words can speak of the past, the present, or the future. Some words make you feel terrific, and other words make you feel terrible. There are happy words, angry words, faithful words, and fearful words.

To understand God is to understand his words. To understand life is to understand the life-giving nature of his words. To live in the fullness of life is to abide in His words. And to change your life is to speak His words. Words have meaning.

Your spirit was designed by God with creative abilities beyond your wildest imagination. To understand yourself, you need to comprehend how God made you. You are a spirit, you have a soul, and you live in a body. Your spirit is the part of you that was born again. Your spirit is the real you.

Begin to incorporate these few leadership skills right away. Tomorrow I will share a few more skills to challenge us to lead like Jesus.

Modeling the Leadership Style of Jesus ~#3 Communicate the Point

4/25/2018

Mark 9:37  “Whoever receives one of these little children in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but Him who sent Me.”
Today, we see that the first thing Jesus did was model the point, and then He made the point. You might say He did a visual and then He talked to His disciples about what He showed them. Jesus is the master communicator. He covers His bases with those He is communicating, whether they are an audible learner, or a visual learner. Jesus did not leave communication to chance.

In essence, Jesus said to His disciples, which means He is also instructing us today, that there is NO SUCH THING as ‘Direct’ Service to God. There is only ‘Indirect’ Service to God. We serve others as Jesus served His Father.
Picture
Larry Spears 􏰀1998), CEO of the Greenleaf Center, concluded that Robert Greenleaf's writings incorporated ten major attributes of servant leadership. These included:
1 listening;
2 empathy;
3 healing;
4 awareness;
5 persuasion;
6 conceptualization;
7 foresight;
8 stewardship;
9 commitment to the growth of people; and
10 building community.

However, Spears 􏰀1998, p. 6) stated, ``these ten characteristics of servant leadership are by no means exhaustive''

All service to God is in direct correlation to how we serve others.

1 John 4:20-21 (NKJV) "If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also."

Picture
Faith isn’t a spectator sport. The influential Christians we remember throughout history were the men and women who would not wait on the sideline when there was work to be done. They realized that Jesus didn’t just save us from something. He saved us for something. He has a mission, and His church and His people are part of it.
Being a leader isn’t just about standing on stage and preaching a sermon to a room filled with people. You don’t have to lead worship or even stand in a spotlight. You don’t have to go to seminary or train to know all the right answers. All you have to do is follow Jesus.

Modeling the leadership style of Jesus #2 Correct the position.

4/24/2018

In yesterday's Blog, we looked at the leadership style of Jesus and we found that He corrected the problem, not the person when first dealing with His disciples. Today, Jesus CORRECTS the POSITION of His disciples. What the disciples were really discussing was, “Which one of us is most important?”  They were not seeing themselves correctly in the light of their position in Christ. Let's admit it! This is the way we are as falling children of Adam. Once we are saved we need to renew our minds to our position in Christ rather than in comparison to one another.

Look at (Mark 9:35, NKJV)"And He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, “If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

Picture
Jesus now corrects their corrupt mindset regarding how the Kingdom of God works. Our earthly mindset is one of gaining a higher and higher position from hard work or, better yet, who we know. Jesus says to them, “guys, you have it all wrong.”  Notice Jesus words to them in correcting them; His words are DIRECT, to the point. “If anyone desires to be first”. His words are DRAMATIC, this was a new challenging concept, “the first…shall be last."  His words are DECISIVE not just a good idea, but the way it is. Like it or not the last shall be servant of all.  His words could also be considered DEVISIVE. He ran the risk of loosing people because of what He said. Jesus, as a strong leader, was a man of truth.  The truth is not to be compromised, regardless how many people like it, or not.

Being a leader is tough. This is why a leader needs to be tough. The Bible tells us that the righteous are as bold as lions. When we stay in right standing with Jesus and with others, we can correct others with boldness. It is always wise to be sure that we are scrubbed of our own agendas, and that we do everything in love. Love never fails. Love wants the best for others. Sometimes wanting the best and doing what's right is costly.

Be willing to pay the cost today. If you need to correct, do it the way Jesus did. It is always a win-win when we follow the example of our Savior.

Modeling the Leadership Style of Jesus #1 Confront the problem not the people.

4/23/2018

This week we are going to look at the Leadership style of Jesus. When we read the scripture below Mark 9:33-37 we see that Jesus does not confront the Person (people) – but He confronts the Problem.  Many of us want to go directly to the person and deal with the problem head on. When we go after the person they usually get defensive and want to either fight back or take flight. Jesus did not go after the person He went after the problem. When there is a problem that exists (no matter how big or small) it is always better to stand ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ with someone and you both examine the problem…than it is to stand ‘Nose to Nose’ and argue the problem.
Picture
Mark 9.33-37 (NRS) "Then they came to Capernaum; and when he was in the house he asked them, ‘What were you arguing about on the way?’ But they were silent, for on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest. He sat down, called the twelve, and said to them, ‘Whoever wants to be first must be last of all and servant of all.’ Then he took a little child and put it among them; and taking it in his arms, he said to them, ‘Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes not me but the one who sent me.’
Picture
We can always make improvements in the way we deal with people. Jesus is our model. The ‘Shoulder to Shoulder’ approach is a WIN WIN proposition. The ‘Nose to Nose’ approach is a WIN=LOSE proposition (actually, a LOSE=LOSE; ex: husband & wife argument; parent & child argument; boss & employee argument). We see that Jesus (wisely) chooses to ask a simple question. Look at (v.33b) “What was it you disputed (discussed) among yourselves on the road?”  The first thing this question did was to let the disciples know that Jesus was watching them, (a good leader is aware of what’s going on). The second thing this question did was to let the disciples know that Jesus was waiting for an answer, (a good leader makes those under him accountable).By the way, all of us are accountable to someone. And, we all need that accountability, (none of us are so spiritual; so mature that we do not need what accountability gives us, (parameters; boundaries).

Then we see the disciples ‘answer’ to Jesus’ question? Look at (v.34a) “But they kept silent”.
Silence is a definite answer. The disciples thought that by not saying anything they were hiding something from Jesus, but nothing could be further from truth. This just shows their ignorance about who Jesus is.
When the disciples don’t step up and acknowledge their wrong attitudes…Jesus takes the next step as a Christian Leader he corrects them. He is not afraid to ‘Correct’ them.

We will look at more on this tomorrow. For today when a
problem arises ask yourself, "How can I correct the problem not the person to begin with?" This will keep the people you love and desire to lead from bumping heads with you and come along shoulder to shoulder so you can work together.

The 5 Kings of Makkedah-#5 in the series

4/20/2018

Today will end my series on the 5 kings of Makkedah. These are the five kings that tried to keep Joshua and Israel from their inheritance.  These are hidden kings of great power.  I encourage you to study and learn so that you are not overcome by them.

The story of Joshua and the five kings is found in Joshua chapter 10.  The five kings formed an alliance against God’s people after they heard how Joshua had taken Ai.  Israel’s army was defeated at Ai the first time because of Achan’s sin.  Achan’s name means “trouble”, and his sin represented giving in to the flesh and the world.   Achan (flesh) was put to death, and then Israel went back and took Ai.

Joshua then attacked these five kings at Gibeon.  The names of the five kings are given in Joshua 10:3 Therefore Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, Piram king of Jarmuth, Japhia king of Lachish, and Debir king of Eglon.

When Joshua attacked them they hid themselves in a cave in Joshua 10:16 But these five kings had fled and hidden themselves in a cave at Makkedah.

Makkedah means “place of shepherds.”  These five kings (rulers) desire to establish a place of rule over God’s people.  Their desire is to become the “shepherds” over the Lord’s flock through their spiritual influence over God’s people.  They desire to replace the spiritual influence of our Shepherd, Jesus Christ, and this is how they plan to do it.

Makkedah is used in the sense of herding, meaning to drive by force to a designated place.  So these kings intend to control and move God’s people by force and spiritual pressure to a  place away from the true Shepherd where they can be slaughtered.
Picture
The fifth and last king we are looking at is Debir, king of Eglon. He represents a spirit of accusation. This spirit seeks to get you to attack others' reputations, to bring discredit to leaders, and to stop true prophetic revelation from going forth or to release false prophets. It's goal is to cut off the voice of the Lord, stop the war cry of the saints and remove the presence of God from your midst. This spirit will try to get you to speak against those in the sanctuary--against the household of God.  His desire is to cause you to become the voice of the accuser of the brethren.  Eglon means a bullock or bull-like and represents one who attacks others through the use of words of criticism, accusation, and lies.  This spirit will try to get you to trample others under foot and destroy their reputation.  Don’t be bull-headed!  Listen to what the Spirit says.
Picture
If we give into any one of these influences we may disqualify ourselves from the great blessing that is before us.

This is what Joshua did to gain the victory over these five kings:
  • Joshua 10:18  So Joshua said, "Roll large stones against the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to guard them.”
  • Bind these powers and seal them up so they will not influence your attitudes and actions.  Set a guard so they don’t break out against you and take you captive.
Josh 10:24  So it was, when they brought out those kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the captains of the men of war who went with him, "Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings." And they drew near and put their feet on their necks.
  • Put your feet on the necks of these kings.  Take authority over them and put them under your feet.
Romans 16:20  And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.
Joshua 10:25-26  Then Joshua said to them, "Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for thus the LORD will do to all your enemies against whom you fight."
And afterward Joshua struck them and killed them, and hanged them on five trees; and they were hanging on the trees until evening.
  • Do not fear these spirits, but use the sword, the Word of God, to strike them and slay them.
Ephesians 6:17-18  And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

Read Luke chapter 4 and see how Jesus defeated Satan!

The Lord said, “Victory is on the horizon.”  He is the Lord of the Breakthrough, and He is Lord over these five kings, and they will bow before His majesty.

1 Timothy 6:12  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
2 Timothy 4:18  And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
2 Corinthians  2:14  Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.
2 Thessalonians  3:3  But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.

I hope you enjoyed the mini series this week on the 5 kings of Makkedah. Please feel free to share with your friends and ask them to subscribe to RPMDaily. Help me encourage and teach the Body of Christ by sharing this Blog.

The 5 Kings of Makkedah-#4 in the series

After Joshua and the Israelites defeated the Amorite armies, Joshua had the five kings removed from the cave. Joshua asked his military captains to put their feet on the necks of the five kings. This is what the Holy Spirit is saying to each of us: "I have given you the victory over these spirits that have come against you and tried to bring you into a place of decrease. It's time to put your feet on the neck of the enemy and enforce your victory!"

Jesus is waiting until all enemies are made His footstool. Let your faith arise to realize--the enemies that have been holding you back have been exposed! You have the victory in Christ over all these spirits. Put your feet on their necks!

Picture
The forth king we want to look at is Japhia, king of Lachish. He represents a spirit of blindness. This spirit will try to get you to shine the light on yourself and demand your rights, so that you take God's glory for yourself and lose the ability to receive revelation from God. It can darken your spiritual understanding, bringing a lack of joy and a feeling of bondage.
A woman named Rose Crawford had been blind for 50 years. "I just can't believe it!" she gasped as the doctor lifted the bandages from her eyes after her recovery from delicate surgery in an Ontario hospital. She wept for joy when for the first time in her life a dazzling and beautiful world of form and color greeted eyes that now were able to see. The amazing thing about the story, however, is that 20 years of her blindness had been unnecessary. She didn't know that surgical techniques had been developed, and that an operation could have restored her vision at the age of 30. The doctor said, "She just figured there was nothing that could be done about her condition. Much of her life could have been different."
Picture
We do not have to be blind spiritually. This spirit has been destroyed. However, like all spirits they are law breakers. Know the benefits of what Christ has done for you. Refuse to be blinded to selfishness, ego and pride. Give all the glory for all things, at all times to God.

Check yourself. Do you have joy? Do you feel as though you are in bondage? If so call upon the name of the Lord and ask Him to heal you. Show gratitude for what He has already done for you through Christ. We may have once been blind but now we can see. Amazing Grace still saves, delivers and sets free.

The 5 Kings of Makkedah-#3 in the series

This week we are looking at the story in Joshua 10 that reads:

Verse 10. "...so the Lord routed them before Israel…and struck them down as far as Azekah and Makkedah...." Verse 16," But these five kings had fled and hidden themselves in a cave at Makkedah...." Verse 24, "So it was, when they brought out those kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the captains of the men of war who went with him, 'Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings.' And they drew near and put their feet on their necks. Verse 25, "Then Joshua said to them, 'Do not be afraid, nor be dismayed; be strong and of good courage, for thus the Lord will do to all your enemies against whom you fight.'"
Picture
The 3rd king we want to look at is Piram, king of Jarmuth. This king represents a spirit of besiegement that can lead to barrenness, poverty, isolation and death. It wants to keep you wild, unbridled and too proud to submit to true spiritual authority so that you will be isolated. I believe this king is loosed upon the earth at this time. Regardless of the age of a person this spirit strikes to stop us from birthing a move of God. Rather than be with people, it causes us to isolate and medicate rather than procreate, and appreciate the gift of God in people.

When we are weary from the fight of faith, rather than run to our corner four people as Henry Cloud teaches in his book, The Power of the Other; we become wild and unbridled. Many turn to drugs, alcohol or sex, rather than submit their flesh to the God assigned authority in their lives. True spiritual authority, can read the signs and address the fleshly issues this spirit produces. Pride comes before a fall and this spirit wants us to fall and fall hard.
Picture
Repent and ask God for forgiveness. There is a way out. Jesus is the way. This kings neck has been broken. We do not have to be controlled by this wicked kings spirit any longer.  God freed us that we might have life and have it more abundantly. God's desire was never for us to be alone. A wild horse is good for nothing, until it is tamed. Start with bridling the tongue, because it exposes what is in your heart. When the heart is right the body will follow. Get into the word of God daily and renew your mind and take back what is rightfully yours.

The 5 kings of Makkedah-#2 in series

Matthew 23:3 "So practice and obey whatever they tell you, but don't follow their example. For they don't practice what they teach." This scripture shows that many people are religious and put things on people they themselves do not do. It is by the grace of God that we are able to do the things that God would have us to do. Out trying to do good never works. Once we fall in love with Jesus we want to do what is right and good because we love Him that first loved us, not because we have to do anything, but we want to. Relationship not religion changes our want to.
Picture
The 2nd king I want to share with you is Hoham, king of Hebron. He represents the spirit of religion, which drives people into religious performance to try to perfect themselves through legalism rather than the leading of the Holy Spirit. This can lead to passivity, retreat, moral corruption, exhaustion, weariness and broken relationships. It causes an inability to move forward in the things of God and will always resist spiritual warfare. Many times Intercessors will battle this spirit. Apostles will contend with this spirit often times when they are overly tired.

“Legalism says God will love us if we change. The gospel says God will change us because He loves us.”
― Tullian Tchividjian

Fall in love with what God loves and hate what He hates and half the battle of the flesh is won. Once and for all we can be freed from this spirit of religion and performance once we know Jesus loves us like we are but too much to leave us like we are. Guard yourself from over work. It is not our "do" but our "who" that gets us to heaven. So, stop performing and be the best version of yourself you can be today and ask God to help you become all He has called you to be by His strength and His power, not your own. He hears the prayers of the humble...and answers.
