This got me thinking about Heaven. No packing! Only one decision. Did I accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior or not? No taking food with me. He will have dinner ready. No packing makeup! Yah! When I see Him, I will be like Him. No clothes to pack, I will be clothed in glory. Wonder what that's going to look like?
When packing for a trip the hardest part is packing. I always over pack. I always carry too much. I can barely get my suit case picked up, and loaded into the car. Anyone who travels with me is always like, "What in the world did you pack the kitchen sink?" I guess they don't know how many shoes I pack? And jewelry? And... It's always wonderful to come home after a long trip. But, here again we have to unpack, do laundry and put everything away again. No wonder it's called heaven! Have you made your final preparations yet? ACTION STEP: My suitcase isn't any lighter this time. You know why? I just couldn't make decisions. Why? Because I care too much about what I'm going to look like, what the weather will be, what will I eat, what will I drink? How about I just learn to trust God and be at peace? How about you? Make the one decision and then, let's just trust God together to take care of the rest.
