"Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!” So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy."
Some ugly things don't show, at least outwardly. Take for example unbelief, pride, fear, and arrogance. Many times we care more about what we look like than the true condition of our hearts. God on the other hand cares little about our outward appearance and looks rather at the inner parts. (Matthew 23:26 "Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.")
I am learning during this period of my life that we never have the luxury of fighting one battle at a time. We battle on many fronts because the devil wants to utterly destroy us. One punch is not going to do it. You wonder why mentally you're fighting one battle, physically another, emotionally still yet another battle? This is war. This is war to take you out and take you down.
