How to make a difference not just a living but an influence.

“I want to make a difference that makes a difference that will go beyond me.”

“A true friend is anyone that helps me reach my destiny.”

Picture
Whenever you see God start something we can be confident
                                   God has finished it.

How do you become an influence?:
Divine imperative- every human being is birthed to influence and dominate in life.
A force in our life has dominion. Fame is like a flame, it goes out.
Influence last beyond life time. Influence does not mean popular. Popular comes from the word population- some like you today and not tomorrow.
Develop an above average handshake, smile, take an interest in others.
Influencers are not all popular.
Matt 13:33 yeast- work its way into the dough- worked its way in a difference and made an impact.

God lives in eternity- time with no measure. We were put in time to make an impact in time. Born to influence time and we don’t have to live long to do it. Methuselah lived 999, Jesus only lived 33 years and we all know what He did.
“This is the day the Lord has made!”

Never let a phase define you. Don’t get stuck. Each year prepares us for the next year. If we don’t prepare and plan for the next year. Don’t get attached to value or phases because they change. Winter will become summer. Live with phases loosely. If you loosely keep moving ahead. Expect the best. Prepare for the worst.

1. The seed must be in right location.
2. Isolation- hidden under ground. Listen to CD’s tapes. Read books.
3. Germinate- self discipline (die to old) going to develop self. Change
friends. Work on self. Personal development. Find others who germinate me.
4. Water the seed- constantly develop organizations, read 2 books month,
  get CD’s every month.
      “Value makes difference in results”
“We primarily get paid for value; not time to marketplace.”
5. Fertilizer- refine and refresh program for our life. Stay away form
negative people- protect your spirit.
+ - x ./. = (plus, minus, divide, equals) choose those who + and x you. Leave people when they become a distraction
6. Time- use time wisely. Accept the process. Process is necessary
7. Patience- delay gratification, save, study

For things to change for us we must change.
Work harder on self than you do on your job.

ACTION STEP:  Work on yourself at least an hour a day. Stretch yourself. Ask people what they think you do well. Then, improve on that if you believe God has called you. Work these 7 steps above.

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

Nothing worse than being alive and not knowing why.

Jeremiah 29:11-14
"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”

Picture
 2 Challenges in life:
1.  Find ourself- discover purpose- makes us solid and secure and where we need to be
2.  Lose ourselves- when purpose is bigger than us
*Discover and then place it so I lose myself.

Nothing worse than being alive and not knowing why.

Jer. 29:11 Success is predictable but so is failure.

Failure is predictable. Life is designed for our success.
Bird- fly naturally                      Here today, gone
Fish- swim naturally       >         tomorrow. How much
Seed- built in success                more important for us.

God has thoughts and plans for us. God is more concerned about our success than we are. God needs us to succeed. We are on God’s mind. Reputation= “names sake”

Manufacture protect their name. If there is a massive recall- reputation destroyed.
Let us make a product in our image. If I am not successful, God’s image is in danger. We cannot fail God protects our success because His reputation is on the line.

In God's word we read, “even if you are stiff-necked and complain I will prosper you for My namesake.”

That’s why if God say do it, you got what it takes.

How do we find our purpose?

1. Passion- energy- love- enjoyment-“sets us apart”. A person with passion                   stands out. Distinguishes us.
2. Spiritual Strength- what are they? Then we will do area of strength we are energized. In weaknesses we are drained

Whatever He tells you to do, He will do it for His namesake.

Do not be afraid to tell your dream. Make an announcement you can’t pay for. God’s name is on it.

Team work makes the dream work.
If a fish can’t swim- God fails.
If a bird can’t fly- God fails.
If seed can’t produce- God fails.

If God calls us to do something we are equipped to do it and we can not fail--for His name is on it.

ACTION STEP:  Ask yourself what is your purpose and then just do it.
Built into the car is the fuel needed - use unleaded gas only. That is a law.
Built into our life are laws.
Orange juice doesn’t run car. Submit to laws of God and things work.
Laws are given to guarantee success.
Fish never leave water.
Seeds need soil.
Only humans test laws.
Success is a result of decision.
We decide to be successful.
Drugs and alcohol, cigarettes will not make me successful. They are not part of what we are called to do.

Do what your called to do, with who you are called to do it with.

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

What do you do when you can't see?  The Sound 0f Silence

I interrupt my usual Blog to share a prophetic message I believe I received from God. I will pick back up with the message on PURPOSE tomorrow.

I. Stanza 1 reminds us that time is filled with swift transition
Time is filled with swift transition,
Naught of earth unmoved can stand,
Build your hopes on things eternal,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand.
A. Our life is but a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away: Jas. 4:13-14
B. Nothing in this earth will stand unmoved because all eventually will pass away: 2 Pet. 3:10
C. However, there are some things which are eternal because they come from the eternal God: Deut. 33:27

II. Stanza 2 encourages us to trust in God no matter what happens in this uncertain life
Trust in Him who will not leave you,
Whatsoever years may bring,
If by earthly friends forsaken
Still more closely to Him cling.
A. We should always trust in the Lord: Ps. 37:3-5
B. We cannot always trust in men because sometimes we are by earthly friends forsaken: Ps. 41:9
C. But we can closely cling to God because He will never leave us or forsake us: Deut. 31:6

III. Stanza 3 admonishes us not to trust in the uncertain treasures of this life which pass away
Covet not this world’s vain riches
That so rapidly decay,
Seek to gain the heavenly treasures,
They will never pass away.
A. We should not covet the vain riches of this world: 1 Tim. 6:9-10
B. One reason is that they so rapidly decay: Jas. 5:1-3
C. Rather, we should seek the heavenly treasures which will never pass away: Matt. 6:19-20

IV. Stanza 4 tells us that there awaits the faithful a fair and bright home in glory
When your journey is completed,
If to God you have been true,
Fair and bright the home in glory
Your enraptured soul will view.
A. Our journey will be completed at death: Heb. 9:27
B. Certainly it should be our aim at that time to have been true or faithful to God: Rev. 2:10
C. Then we can look forward to a crown in that home in glory: 2 Tim. 4:6-8

CONCL.: The chorus exhorts us to keep on holding to God’s hand.
Hold (to His hand) to God’s unchanging hand,
Hold (to His hand) to God’s unchanging hand;
Build your hopes on things eternal,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand.
If, in this life, we will put our “little hands in His big hand” by following God’s revealed will in all things, then we can have the hope that in heaven we shall forever be able to “Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand.”

Picture
While at church yesterday, I heard the word of the Lord say to me when you can't see just hold on to my hand. I heard it over and over again. At first as always I thought the Lord and I were having a private conversation. Then, I realized it wasn't just for me. It is for all of us. When you can't see your other senses are heightened. Then, I started hearing song I hadn't heard in years. "The Sound of Silence."

I am NOT endorsing this artist, this song or the words. It is the only You Tube Video I could find with the lyrics. I wanted the lyrics. God is speaking. Those of us that can hear Him, must speak for those that have no voice, or only hear the sound of silence.

I in no way am trying to frighten anyone. I am merely speaking what I heard, "When you can not see. When the lights go out. When there is no internet. When there is no cell phone. When you can not see me, just hold My hand and I will lead you. I am here. I will not leave you. Hold my hand." God is a good God. He will not leave us. We will be okay. Now, is not the time to be in fear, but perfect peace. We will know what to do. We will have what we need. We may not have all our wants--but we will have all we need.

Here is the link to the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJEA0RlVUsI

Here is a story of another song I think you would enjoy as well. https://hymnstudiesblog.wordpress.com/2014/05/21/hold-to-gods-unchanging-hand/
ACTION STEP:  I know the video below is old. Watch it anyways and just read the lyrics. Click here:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6C9RHVBEWe4

Again, it's the lyrics I want you to hear.  Evidently, the word of the Lord was heard by Jennie Bain Wilson. (The lyrics to "Hold to God's Unchanging Hand" were written by Jennie Bain Wilson (1857 - ca. 1913); the music was written by Franklin L. Eiland (1860 - 1909).)

When you can not see, whether that is literally, figuratively or as aa metaphor, I am not sure. This I know. He will not let go. We need to hold to God's unchanging hand.
I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.
Until tomorrow, make a great day!

Purpose and Assignment-It's in our WORK not our job.

Gen. 1:28
"And God blessed them, and God said unto them, oBe fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

Picture
People seek out those with a gift. People pay people to use their gift. People use people with a gift to sale their products. Your gift will bring you wealth. Don't mis-manage your gift!

Whatever we mis-manage we lose. (Remember the parable of the Talents)

We are created to manage God’s resources. In Genesis God talks to man about what he is created to do and what he is to manage.

Eden means presence (atmosphere) not a place.
That’s why we can’t find it.

God creates environment first.

Created water then He makes fish.
Created earth then plants.
Take fish or plant out of its environment it dies.
If man is removed from Eden (presence of God) he dies.

In Gen. 2 work second thing God gave man.
This is why our church is filled with women.

Devil hates a praising man because the devil knows he’s losing that man.

It is man's job to:
  • Take care – cultivate
  • Guard – protect
  • Keep- don’t touch
The day  he failed to do these things God said he would– you surely die.

All  instructions came from God to Adam.

Adam (from the earth) what you do controls the country- the world.

#1 male created first – responsible - the teacher
#2 image- self image
#3 1st place- presence
#4 command work
#5 cultivate
#6 protect
#7 obey the Word

Key to mankind- is work (not job) - put him in the right atmosphere.

Work- Greek word "ergon" meaning to become yourself, manifest yourself, reveal your true self, discover your true self.

Work- gift- what you’re born to do.

God has hidden in man a gift that is to come forth.

First command God gave man was to produce.

   Seed made to produce.
   Fish to swim.
   Bird to fly.

Tiger Woods- once said, you can’t fire my gift.

Work- source of vision.
Vision- pictures in work. Prov. 19:1 God's purpose will prevail.

Something God wanted done so He prepared us for a finished work. We are here on assignment. Our assignment gets trapped inside of us. A Job often suffocates  our work.

The Male is defined by his (Ergon) his work.
Lose job- doesn’t lose his life, but if he can’t work he loses his worth.

This is why work is such an importance for man, much more than for woman.

God gave man work before he gave him a woman.

For Man, Work is in his worth, not his woman.

Women don’t make a man feel valuable, his work does.

Man finds sense of value in his work.

Jesus came to finish the work.
     Jesus fulfilled in His work.
Work the work. The Work of my Father who sent me.

ACTION STEP:

Work the work that you were put here on the earth to do. People will pay you to operate in your gift if you are disciplined in that work. My more you are disciplined the more people will pay you. Watch the last two videos I put up and the last two blogs. Then get an accountability partner and start calling one another into accountability in the area of discipline. Help one another by praying to hear from God your purpose and assignment if you don't know it or are uncertain.

See you here on Monday. I will be sharing more on this topic. Most of this comes from a book by Myles Munroe I read years ago.

The world is waiting for your gift. Make a great weekend.

Discipline- determines success.

1 Corinthians 10:23-24 TPT
"You say, “Under grace there are no rules and we’re free to do anything we please.” Not exactly. Because not everything promotes growth in others.
Your slogan, “We’re allowed to do anything we choose,” may be true—but not everything causes the spiritual advancement of others.

So don’t always seek what is best for you at the expense of another."

Picture
Discipline- determines success. The hardest thing to discipline is oneself.

Perish- means throw off restraint. We perish when we refuse to discipline ourself, rather than procrastinate.

We must Deal with procrastination. How?
Find a vision that is my source of discipline. Tiger Woods found golf. Joyce Meyers found sharing her story and the gospel. Michael Jackson found singing.

People admire discipline.
A life of discipline creates trust. That’s why athletes sell products for companies.
People trust those that are disciplined. People pay to watch discipline.

And discipline comes from having a vision.

Vision simplifies life.
Vision narrows life.

When you capture a vision, you know what roads won’t take you there. Vision shows your destination, so it’s easy to say “no” I’m not going that direction- that will not take me to my destiny.
“(This one thing I do)”. Stress comes from not knowing what to do.

Story of Martha- she assumed Jesus was hungry.
-angry because she was trying       - she tried to get others involved in
to be everything to everybody         what God didn’t give her to do.

-only a few things are necessary    - she was busy about (many) things

What things are necessary?
1 Corinth 10:23 – Paul said not all things are necessary.

Don’t work harder on job than on yourself.

Some people are not necessary. They are distractions.

Vision dictates everything. Source of motivation. Source of purchases. Vision identifies oneself.

What reminds others of me? 1 thing? If I am a jack of all trades, then I am a master of none. What do they think about me when someone mentions my name?

My purpose and assignment makes a niche’ for myself. Create it. Focus on benefits.
That which we hold in conscientiousness tends to manifest itself.

Challenges come to test our vision.

Whatever we are supposed to do never changes.

Visions chooses.  It choose our: future
“                    “ friends
“                    “ library
“                    “ use of time and energy
“                    “ diet
“                    “attitude
“                    “ life
“                    “ values

The longer you sit on ideas the more they diminish. Refuse to sit on your vision and purpose and assignment. Live your best life now.

What's the difference between work and a job?

4/6/2022

John 9:4-5
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Picture
Jesus never says, job. Job was a corrupter but work was becoming what you were born to do.

Your job is what they pay you to do.
They tell us go get a job. Never fulfillment.

The devil puts us, in an invisible cage-and like a tiny rope on the leg of an elephant training has caused us to feel trapped.

The Bird in the cage did not lose its ability to fly. Its flight is just restricted. The Elephant can go free it just doesn’t know it can.

This is one of the main reasons we must read our Bibles and Learn the Language of our creator. God has set up Principles and Laws. We must work with them or they will work against us.

Principles and laws are permanent.

Principles and laws they work for anyone and everywhere.

“Principles and Laws “ are not partial to people.
Principles and laws guarantee success if you follow laws and principles.
Principles and laws never can be broken- they break us.
Principles and laws inherit- punishment is in the law. Laws judge us.
    Example-Touch fire get burnt.
“Principles and Laws“ have built in protection if we work with them.

A principle in Deuteronomy states Deut 8:17 Wealth comes from your ability to produce, it is not from our work it is from God.

Wealth comes before woman (and not just in the alphabet or dictionary, so, man should have wealth before he gets a woman.)

Work- to become what is trapped on the inside of each of us.

Ergon is the Greek word for work. Egon/work occurs 176 times in 161 verses in the Greek concordance of the KJV.

We must find who you are to become.
The work we were created to do before we were formed in our mothers womb.

ACTION STEP:  Work the work for which God put you on the earth.

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

How to dream again. Take action today.

Matthew 18:20
“For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”

You are not alone in your grief. Any Jesus grieved over the loss of Lazarus. Death comes to all of us. Don't allow yourself to go it alone.

Picture
Here are 3 Things to Do When a Dream Dies

  1. When a dream dies—when the thing you’ve wanted for so long is gone—there is a real sense of loss, disappointment, sadness, and heartache. It’s painful when you have a dream of a certain job, mate, a certain position, or a certain home that will never be realized. And that pain is magnified when the dream involves a relationship.

  • Your dream of growing old with your spouse and sitting side by side in rocking chairs, holding hands, is dashed by indifference, death, or divorce.

  • Your dream of a wonderful, warm, loving relationship with your child is shattered by a terrible argument, a bad mistake, or an all-consuming addiction.

  • And it’s not like you can just plug in any dream in place of the old one.

You don’t just substitute dreams.

What you can do is learn how to dream again by taking these three steps:

1. Grieve
It’s OK to feel bad, or even terrible, about your loss. It’s OK to let yourself patiently experience the full range of your emotions as they relate to your dream. Give yourself some time to work through the stages of your grief. But most importantly, don’t let yourself indulge in self-pity. The sooner you are in a place to accept your new situation, the sooner you’re ready to embrace a new dream.

2. Grow
When a dream dies, the question is not whether you and I will experience loss and pain. The question you need to ask yourself is, “What will I do with the pain?” Pain can be used for good. It forces us to pause and ponder what’s really important.

So, after you’ve gone through the grieving process, which may take months or even years, take some time to reflect upon and ponder what you’ve experienced. Maybe even keep a journal and write down your thoughts. As you reflect, think about what you’ve learned about other people and yourself. Are there things you need to change in your life or in yourself? Use this time to grow.

3. Grab
Your dream was a part of you. Now that it’s gone, liking another dream might feel a bit like cheating. But, if you spend all of your time focusing on what you’ve lost, you’ll never see what you can have. The last step to healing is to allow your heart and mind to embrace the next vision for your life—to grab hold of the next dream.

Give yourself permission to try new things, to experience new hopes. Embrace the challenges and grow in ways that are different from the old dream. Flex your dream muscles and find some new strength. The death of a dream doesn’t have to be the end of your hopes. It could be the beginning of an even better dream.

ACTION STEP:  Dream again. Start that journal today. Someone is going to be where you are tomorrow. Find your way to the other side and then share with someone how you did it.

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

Purpose

1 Peter 2:9
" But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

Picture
Jesus said I work the work….John 9:4-5  I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

Jesus never says, job. Job was a corrupter but work was becoming what you were born to do.

Your job is what they pay you to do.
They tell us go get a job. Never fulfillment.

We were Born to be deployed not employed.

Deployers-employ others helps. They Deployers determine the worth of whom they employ.

Definition of Deployer- to extend a military unit-we are the army of God. To place in battle formation or appropriate positions deploying troops to the region; to spread out, utilize, or arrange for a deliberate purpose. deploy a sales force
intransitive verb
: to move, spread out, or function while being deployed the troops deployed along the front

We are deployed onto this earth for a purpose. The work of our Father—to be continuing that that our brother Jesus both began and to do.

Success is predictable. Just answer these 5 questions.

1.  Who am I?
2.  Where am I from? (evolution or creation)
3.  Why am I here? Purpose
4.  What can I do? 10% of ability
5.  Where am I going? destination- destiny.

These 5 questions determine our life.

Truly successful people have a knowledge of purpose.

When we do the work for which we were created that is where we will find fulfillment. A job will make you tired and complain but a work fr which you were created you could do all day with no pay and never complain.

Something to think about. No action step but to answer those five questions above.

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

Habakkuk 2:2
"Then the LORD replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it."

Picture
I had a goal to write three books this year. I will meet my goal. This week I wrote on the average of 8 hours a day for a week.  I had Intercessors praying for me and it made all the difference. I had total focus and the creative power of God flowed through my pen. I cried. I laughed. I thought of things I hadn't thought about for years. It was a healing, yet revealing experience. The day my firstborn would have been 42 years old I finished the manuscript. I have a bibliography to do, some endorsements to get and a forward to add, then it goes to my editor, then to my publisher. I am grateful this is my third book because I have learned so much, from so many. When God calls you He anoints you to do that very thing He called you to do. Then, in His sovereignty He puts people in your life to help you do that very calling.

I can't wait to share with you the book that was started two years ago. I can't wait to share with you a mini book for women and a go to book that will explain the times we are living in. For now--I'm headed home.

ACTION STEP:  Do what God has called you to do. Do it sooner than later. The feeling of accomplishment alone is worth it. At least it was for me. Then, you will have the expectation of serving the world with the nuggets from the life you've lived. You are the expert on what you lived and experienced, so share with the world how you made it through to the other side. They are waiting and so am I.

I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.

When a birthday is not a happy one.

 Psalm 127:3-5
"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court."
Picture
Today, my first born daughter would be 42 years old. I know that she is in heaven, she was only 16 days old when she left this earth. She lived a hard sixteen days, for in the first five days she had five surgeries. Our daughter was born with Ectopia Cordis.

Ectopia cordis is an exceedingly rare defect in which the heart, in part or in its entirety, forms outside the chest cavity. It is considered as one of the less common cardiac malpositions (defects characterized by the heart or great vessels developing in the wrong place). When I say rare, I mean rare. Ectopia cordis occurs in 5-7 per one million live births and is associated with an extremely high mortality rate. It is not genetic or chromosomal.

It was our first child and we had no idea until she was born. It was a shock and yet we hoped and prayed that one day we would bring her home. That never happened. I think about her often and when I do I often still cry. This time of year is particularly hard for me. This year I am away writing my third book to be released in September. I am enjoying warm weather and sunshine. That may not seem like a big deal but on the day of her burial it was cold and snowy. It's never a good day for a mother to bury her child but I remember wishing it was a warm and sunny day. I hated putting her in the cold ground though I knew she wasn't there.

I am grateful that I have two beautiful healthy daughters here on earth, but I look forward to one day seeing my other one totally healthy.

ACTION STEP:  Take time to celebrate those that are important in your life. We never know how long we will have them. Take lots of pictures regardless of what others tell you. We were told not to take any pictures so we wouldn't have the bad memory. But now, we have no pictures at all. Don't listen to others about what you should and shouldn't do. Make your own decision. We were told to have a closed casket. If I had it to do over again I would have left it open. She was a beautiful and strong little girl. I am glad I can still see her in my memory.
