This quarantined has stopped me. Stopping is not in me. This time I didn't have a choice. Most of the time I work. That's what I do. I even make play work. I don't know how or why I do it, but fun things somehow turn into work. Well, that is what I have been doing all my life until the last six weeks. The last six weeks I have finished more books, wrote more cards and letters than ever, been on an over-load of social media such as Zoom, Podcast, Webinars, and whatever else is out there. But more recently I just wasn't feeling the energy I usually feel. No fever. No COVID19 symptoms just tired and not much stamina. I'd get up and do a little, then have to go sit down. Not me at all. Come to find out it was a tooth as I mentioned in yesterdays Blog. But, you know what I learned? We don't appreciate health and well-being until we don't have it. That tooth had hurt with temperature change and chewing on things for well over a year (maybe two). I know right? All along my energy levels kept decreasing, it was a "Frog in the Kettle" syndrome. Well, glad to say I hoped out! The epiphany was that because the energy wane was overtime, I just put up with it. Why? Because I was too busy to think about it.
Our spiritual health can be much the same. We can let the fire we once had for God dwindle down inside of us over time. We can slowly be dying. Once, you couldn't stop reading, so you dashed through a thirty-day devotional in a week. Once you pulled all-nighter prayer, now you go several days without praying. Once praise and worship music was playing all the time. Now, it's the TV blaring or worst yet secular music. Now, is the time to get yourself spiritually at 100%.
I am not upset at all about what has transpired, I "Trust God" as I shared yesterday. I am not wasting a crisis. I am learning. I am learning more about myself and people. I am sure we will look back on COVID19 with various memories, but we will not forget, and we will forever be changed.
Many struggled with getting out of bed and going to church. Church was optional. "Let's stay home and eat pancakes." Now, many can't wait to get back to the building that was once an option and is now forbidden. Those that used to say, "Well, I would read if I had time. I would have been there, but I got busy." I do not think these words will be uttered by those that love the Lord, and love being a part of His Body anytime soon.

ACTION STEP: Time to take an inventory of your spiritual condition? Are you still as energized about your time with Him as you once were? What is your spiritual energy level? Rate yourself from 1 to 10. Remember the Lord dislikes lukewarm. Get up and take control of your health. There is only one you. Take time to take care of yourself. Do what you need to do to get up and get back on track. Go for 100% and don't settle for anything else. Don't allow yourself to put up with a lukewarm spiritual condition.
