Today is part 3 of our 4 part series on the book by Renee Swope a Proverbs 31 Ministries Radio Show Co-Host and author of the book A Confident Heart. I encourage you if you’ve just joined us to look back at the previous two blogs. Today we look at seeking validation. Usually when we are insecure we need more validation. If we didn’t get it from those important people in our lives we will find ourselves seeking it in inappropriate ways from others. If you are a female and did not get it from your father you may look for it from older men. Seeking for validation in all the wrong people can get you in all the wrong places that you may find it hard to get out of.
Ecclesiastes 4:4 (NIV) “And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person's envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.”
John 12:42-43 (NKJV) “42 Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.”
Seek to please an audience of one. If you please God that is all you have to do to assure yourself that you are doing all that is required of you. God adores you just like you are but He also loves you too much to leave you as you are. We are to be changed daily into the image of Christ. Give God all of you and He will give you all of Him.
Matthew 25:21 (KJV) "21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."
