We all come into this world at the same age. We however, do not all have the same advantages. Many of us, had several disadvantages thrown at us. Psychologists will tell us, that our emotional and intellectual growth can be stunted. But, the great thing about the power of Jesus Christ in our lives, is that there is a new birth available to us. There is a miracle working God that can heal us, catch us up in a moment, and yet--take us back in time, and bring healing to our broken souls. Rarely, do I push the plate this far but, "Praise be to God from Whom all blessings flow!" Without Him and His Word, I have no idea where I would be. He healed me. He is in the process of healing me, and one day I will be completely healed and look just like my Daddy God; and you can too.
ACTION STEP: Ask yourself the hard questions. Am I emotionally or spiritually stunted in my growth and maturity level? Where did the pain stop the train of maturity in my life?
Stunted is defined as having been prevented from growing or developing properly. (Merriam Webster) There is nothing in this definition, that faults an individual for being stunted. No, this is not a fault finding exercise, or one to drive us to depression; rather, this is to locate us. We have to find our location on our GPS in order for us to get the directions, and road maps, to reach our desired location.
