"My main ambition in life is to be on the devil's most wanted list."
Leonard Ravenhill
He didn’t design us, to do everything for us. He is no the Cosmic Bell Hop waiting for us to ring the bell and come running to fulfill whatever request we have. We need to pray, but we also need to trust.
Prayers of panic and fear are prayers of a servant.
Prayers of authority are prayers of a son.
Servants complain.
Sons exchange and communicate one with the other.
We need to wake up to our sonship! Either way He answers us. Jesus would address weak faith but answer our request anyway. He never withheld the answer.
There is a wake up call to our nation!
Wake up to excellence!
Wake up to the Champion in you!
Wake up to the Power inside of you!
Wake up to the Purpose for which you are created!
God is saying, “here is your opportunity.” The thing about opportunities is they come and go. 2 Kings 13:18 "Then he said, "Take the arrows," and the king took them. Elisha told him, "Strike the ground." He struck it three times and stopped. He missed his opportunity to be completely victorious. He should have seized the opportunity to shoot all the arrows.
Jerusalem had a time of visitation..but they did not seize the opportunity and Jesus wept.
Noah seized the opportunity to obey God and build the Ark.
The disciples failed to seize the opportunity to stay awake and pray with Jesus, they slept instead.
We can miss our window of opportunity.
“The thing with the opportunity of a lifetime is that it must be seized in the lifetime of that opportunity!”
We must work while it is day for night will come.
Jesus was in his boat asleep-not because He was tired, but so that He could teach His disciples to respond to a storm the way He did. The world in which He dwells in has no storms. (Mark 4:35-41) He was teaching them what Paul the Apostle would later have language for, "we are seated in heavenly places."
An invitation of a lifetime-is an invitation for change…it’s an open door to move into a movement--to change your lifestyle.
Jesus invited them. He was grooming them. All invitations are a drink to taste and see the Lord is good. A taste initiates transformation see John 7 …"come to me and drink…… out of your innermost being flows a river." A taste opens our capacity. A simple experience can open us up for a river to flow from within us.
