1 Samuel 3:5-10 NIV
5 And he ran to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
But Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.” So he went and lay down.
6 Again the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
“My son,” Eli said, “I did not call; go back and lie down.”
7 Now Samuel did not yet know the Lord: The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed to him.
8 A third time the Lord called, “Samuel!” And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, “Here I am; you called me.”
Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. 9 So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10 The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”
Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”

Yesterday, a friend of mine called me from Kenya. We always enjoy our conversations, but this day it was fascinatingly overwhelming for me. He asked me one question, and it seemed as though Heaven opened up the gates of revelation to me, and a storehouse within me was being emptied out simultaneously. It was not a long conversation, but the entirety of it can not be shared in this Blog. I plan to share the entire message Saturday night in Monongahela, PA, and in Morgantown, WV on Sunday. The Lord reminded me of scriptures and stories and examples I had studied over the years, but then added fresh bread (new revelation) from heaven.

ACTION STEP: Today, reach out to someone who is a little further along in the Lord than you are. Ask them a question. Go ahead and call your pastor or teacher, mentor or friend and put a demand on their anointing. Both you and them will be blessed. The Lord wants to speak to us. We all just need to give Him that opportunity. He needs willing vessels. Then, praise and thank Him for what He shared with you from Heavens portals.

Also, please be in prayer for our president and first lady. The prayers of the righteous avail much. (James 5:16) The Bible tells us to pray for those in authority over us that it would go well with us. (1 Timothy 2:2)

Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV)
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

I love the way God talks to us and gently corrects, while adjusting our attitudes. Well, at least He does mine. Perhaps, I am being nostalgic, or it's a lack of endorphins being released in my brain from not running; but I am a bit reflective this early morning. I am thinking of all the times I ran, and the Lord spoke to me. One day, in particular I was running, and at first I was frightened by an old beat up loud blue car, that seemed to be following me. I realized after a few minutes of observing my surroundings, it was being driven by an older man who was tossing out newspapers. He was going so slow, and driving on the wrong side of the road from time to time, and I thought, "Alright Dude get with it and get going. You're ruining my quiet morning." Then, I heard, "Just watch."

As I watched, I noticed that he was deliberately tossing the papers right to the door. If there was another paper in the driveway, he laid it right beside the other one. He was focused. He was doing his best while no one else was watching him. He was working as unto the Lord. He was thinking of those he was serving.

Ashamedly, I repented to the Lord for judging this older man, his loud car, his erratic driving and messing with my perfect morning. How many times had I done that? Judged others? How many times, had I just been doing my very best as unto the Lord and no one noticed? I wanted to go tell him, "Good job!" But he--he did not need my accolades. He was enjoying his morning. His reward was his peace and knowing he was doing his best. I am sure they far out weighed my endorphins. His peace brings an eternal reward. My endorphins (exercise) profits little. (1 Tim. 4:8 KJV)

ACTION STEP: Take a moment to slow down. Listen to this You Tube Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9Fi2wVOHoM  Develop yourself. Become your very best. Most of us can do better. We can do more in many areas. So what if no one is watching? God sees. God sees everything. Who knows someone running by your life may notice and God may speak to them about your excellence. Go ahead, cause others to walk higher! Do your best. God is watching.
