Matthew 25:20-21 (ESV) “And he who had received the five talents came forward, bringing five talents more, saying, ‘Master, you delivered to me five talents; here I have made five talents more.’ His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.”
If you want to increase, take care of what you have. If you have bitterness in your heart and think by not taking care of something you are hurting others—think again. The Bible tells us bitterness dries up our bones not the bones of others.
Proverbs 17:22 (NIV) “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
Whether this particular piece of property is held up in a family feud or just a relationship gone bad it has become an eye sore for others and a real waste to all. Rumor has it this was a popular boat ride enterprise and tourist attraction. I pray whatever it is the next time I visit; a good steward has this place up and running. As good stewards we have a responsibility to God and to others to take care of what we have.
