Matthew 26:14-16  (GNT)
Judas Agrees to Betray Jesus
"Then one of the twelve disciples—the one named Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests  and asked, “What will you give me if I betray Jesus to you?” They counted out thirty silver coins and gave them to him.  From then on Judas was looking for a good chance to hand Jesus over to them."

Have you ever been betrayed? Do you feel as if you are being betrayed now? Many American's feel as though they are being betrayed by the media about this virus. Some feel betrayed by the politicians. Children betray their parents. Husband betray wives, and yes--friends betray friends. Betrayal is not a new thing. Betrayal has been around since the beginning. Sometime in our life we either have been or will be betrayed.

Jesus was betrayed by one of His own. The Bible does not say, "When Jesus was betrayed, it threw Him into a rage, and He wanted to get even; and even considered doing harm to Himself." No. Jesus told Judas, in John 13:27,  “Hurry and do what you’re going to do.” Jesus knew what was in Judas because Jesus spent time with the Father. When we spend time with God we know, what God knows. The word of God tells us that God does nothing, unless He first reveals it to His Prophets. (Amos 3:7).   Here is the link for the video if it is not showing up here. ACTION STEP: Take time during this quarantine and Holy Week to spend time in the word of God, let it be the mirror it is intended to be; to reveal you--to you. Spend time in the presence of God and allow Him to reveal to you the true heart and motives of others. If even Jesus was betrayed, then we probably will be too--at least once. Ask God for the gift of Discerning of Spirits. Study the subject and allow God to reveal truth to you. It will not make the pain of betrayal any less but it does help you to navigate through the pain and disappointment.
