Bringing Beauty To An Ugly Place

Take a good look at this picture and then tell yourself, “Glad it ain’t that bad.”  No, really how would you like to have to produce and be happy about it all alone with no one around you to show you how to stand tall and look good in a rough spot.  Nature often shows us what can be done because of the what that is “in us” not the what that is “around in”.  Often times we use the situations we find ourselves in to excuse ourselves from doing what we are supposed to do, let alone what we are called to do.

We are not natural once we come to Jesus—we are supernatural.  That being said we are to walk by faith and not by sight. If we are having trouble displaying the beauty of Christ likeness within us then it will be next to impossible for Christ to be seen through us.  Here are a few challenges:

·        Being nice when we feel like being mean.

·        Saying “Thank you” when although others have tried to help they have fallen miserably short.

·        Remaining thankful rather than complaining.

·        Displaying a Christ like attitude when we want to act like the devil.

Let’s take a lesson from this little flower and bloom where we’re planted. The next time you find yourself between a “Rock and a Hard place”…let go of the hard place and keep letting your roots go down and keep climbing higher.
