Birds of a feather flock together. What one does they all do? We've all heard the clichés'. It is the same with Christians in our culture today. Years ago when they were all building the Tower of Babel, God said, "They could do anything they set their minds to" my paraphrasing. He did not however say, “What they would do would be great.” God has great things in mind for us to do.
I heard that a group of caterpillars were crawling through the grass when they looked up and saw Butterflies sailing through the summer sky. One looked up and said, "You'll never get me in one of those things", and the others all agreed. Whatever stage we are in in our Spiritual Growth it can be hard to see ourselves at the next level without the eye of faith.
Romans 10:17(KJV) “17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
What are you called to do that others say can't be done? What hasn't been done before that you believe you are called to do? God told me one time when I was asking Him a question, "You can't read about it in a book or sing about it in a song because it's never been done before--but you are going to do it!” Well, if God said it that settles it. What is it you say? I don't know I guess I haven't done it--yet!
So if you feel low today remember the Butterfly. You were created to soar. Quit crawling around in the grass saying things you will later regret.
