I thought to myself he truly believes he has authority and dominion over these little feathered creatures. Then I heard, "He does, because he believes he does and there is no doubt in him." Now, I am not saying God said this. I am saying what I heard in my spirit. The scripture in Genesis 1: 26 came to mind, "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth."
It's interesting to me that this simple observation could impact me so much. I thought about how Mary and Joseph must have felt when they found Jesus in the temple and replied, "Did you not know I would be about my Father's business?"
Sometimes, it takes seeing things from the eyes of a child to realize that there is a dimension to faith that we rarely, if ever tap in to. Today, I decided I am going to exercise my faith more. I am going to believe more and doubt less. Today, I have decided that as a child of God, I am going to begin to act like one.
