Have you ever done something wrong and wanted to cover it up? Our human nature when we make a mistake is to hide it and pretend nothing ever happened. Ask Adam and Eve when they hid themselves from God. To "Cover-up" is human to confess and recover is supernatural. The power of God can be the remedy we need when we are presented with a situation that we alone have created. We want and so we take. We desire and so we conspire. If only we would ask of God and He would give us the desires of our hearts.
2 Samuel 12:12 Then the Lord sent Nathan to David. And he came to him, and said to him: “There were two men in one city, one rich and the other poor. 2 The rich man had exceedingly many flocks and herds. 3 But the poor man had nothing, except one little ewe lamb which he had bought and nourished; and it grew up together with him and with his children. It ate of his own food and drank from his own cup and lay in his bosom; and it was like a daughter to him. 4 And a traveler came to the rich man, who refused to take from his own flock and from his own herd to prepare one for the wayfaring man who had come to him; but he took the poor man’s lamb and prepared it for the man who had come to him.”
5 So David’s anger was greatly aroused against the man, and he said to Nathan, “As the Lord lives, the man who has done this shall surely die! 6 And he shall restore fourfold for the lamb, because he did this thing and because he had no pity.”
7 Then Nathan said to David, “You are the man!
What to do when you are confronted with the knowledge, "That you are the man?" Whether you are man with womb-woman, or man, the knowledge of your own sin can be devastating. The greater knowledge is when we come to the realization that God is greater than all our sin and the power of His shed blood can cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Unrighteous meaning not right, it simply means wrong or wrong standing. If you are in wrong standing today don't try to cover-up it only leads to greater sin and complications. Confession brings us back into right standing with God. If you cover-up you will never recover all. The Bible tells us to bring our sin to the light. Filthy lusts must be rooted out. Our sins must be dreaded and detested in order for us to love what God loves and hate what He hates. If we do this then we will remain in right standing with Christ. Don't try to "Cover-up", give up the cover-up and recover all through the power of the name of Jesus and the blood He shed for you and for me.
