Covering makes a difference. Come under delegated authority and be safe.

I want to touch on a subject that many may have a knee jerk response. It is the subject of submission to authority and the importance of proper covering. The reason I want to share this with you is for your protection. It is so vital on the mission field to have the proper covering. By covering, I mean the person in authority over you. If the person over you, has clean hands and a pure heart, knows how to be under authority themselves, and has a love for the one he serves more than he loves himself, there is a supernatural safety umbrella over the entire team.

I have been to three countries to minister in less than thirty days, if you include layovers at least six countries. I experienced no sickness, no loss, no lack of any kind, excellent ministry time and signs, miracles and wonders that confirmed the preaching of the word. This is not because I am anyone special. It is because of the safety in following Godly protocol. I am grateful for my husbands covering, our spiritual covering and example of our spiritual parents, the founders of the ministries that I traveled with outside of my own sphere, and God almighty. (I am also grateful for the prayers of all of you! You make me strong!)

If I was to have one life mantra it would have to be, "There is power in your serve." When you serve another man's vision God will give you your own. You can never out-serve God. You can never give more to God than He will give you in return. God gives you a dream and only God can bring it to pass. All of our self-efforts will produce nothing. When we operate out of the flesh it will fail us every time. What we do for the Kingdom of God will always be in service to those God has put in authority over us, and will have life surpassing results.

This type of thinking, submitting and living is only accomplished by having the mind of Christ. We can only have the mind of Christ as we renew our mind to the word of God. This is a daily process of death to self. We must die and take up the cross, the cause of Christ daily. We don't allow ourselves to live contrary to the word of God. Regardless of what our flesh desires, we understand that to fulfill the lust of the flesh will bring death; perhaps not only to ourselves, but to those on the team, or the mission field as well.

I watched the movie, "Blood Diamonds" while on my last long flight. At one point in the movie the father cried out to his son. Is crying out for your son wrong? No. But crying out for anything when in the middle of a mission is. Jesus cried to His Father during His final mission and The Father turned His head. Jesus cried, "Father why has thou forsaken me." God never forgot about His son, but He modeled for us sacrifice for the sake of the mission. Mission accomplished! Jesus did what the Father told Him and the Father never buckled or changed the plan even when they killed His son.
ACTION STEP: When was the last time you died to what you wanted so others could get what they needed? When did you pick up your cross for the cause of Christ? How much time are you investing into renewing your mind to the mind of Christ? The only way we change is by changing who we are. We are no longer ours but Christ, for we have been bought with the precious blood of Jesus.

Inside the word succeed is the word seed. Just take out the letters u and c, then you will see what potential that is within you and you will succeed.
