Four Words That Bring Freedom

7/8/2019

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord: and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.” Psalm 33:12 (KJV)
This being the month of the birthday of our nation we think of freedom. When we think of freedom there are 4 words that come to mind, because the only true freedom is found in Christ. First let me define Freedom. Freedom is being released from Illegitimate restrictions; Boundaries.

For example the boundaries that govern land.

Words spoken by you that place unseen boundaries in your life; “I’ll never be able to do that.”  “I can see myself doing that.” There is power in your Words. We are created in God’s image, God spoke the universe into being and it continues to expand today. We have this same power at our disposal, if we only realized it. Speak the Word, Prophesy over your own life, family, etc.

What relational boundaries do you struggle with? Marital issues, family funds, etc.
Circumstantial Boundaries, a low paying job, a house fire, your car needs repairs. Circumstances change.
Physical Boundaries-battling various health conditions, generational conditions that run in your “natural family line” but not in your spiritual DNA.  God give us life and more abundantly; we serve a loving God.
Let’s See what it takes to have Freedom Reign in our lives.

Believe:
Believe: What do I see myself “doing”? Believing is doing. Believe that Jesus Christ is Lord.
John 2:23-24 Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name when they saw the signs which He did.  But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men, and had no need that anyone should testify of man, for He knew what was in man.
Learn:
Who are you following and what are you learning? What is being demonstrated? What’s been modeled that you can learn from?  It’s in the process of doing that we learn the spiritual and physical lessons of life.
John 6:60 "Therefore many of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, this is a hard saying; who can understand it?
Follow HIM:
Cadence: are you walking alone or with Jesus?
John 6:66 (6 being the number of man) “From that time many of his disciples went back and walked with him no more."  Will you stay the course? Tomorrow I will talk about the importance of knowing those whom you labor with and the value of being a part of a team/family/church congregation.

Luke 18:13  “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes, (side note, the eyes are the window into the spirit, much can be discerned by looking someone in the eyes) unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner." Aren’t you glad His mercies are new every morning?

We read in 1 John 2:6 “he that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.  The important word in this passage is “abide” “hold” to remain.  It’s not how you start it’s now you finish. Forgetting those things which are behind and pressing on…  Keep Following Him, whether you find yourself in the valley or on a mountain top, KEEP MOVING!

The process of believing and following will lead one to discover things about themselves and the process. It’s in the process that the real lessons of life are learned, developed and matured. SO…

Discover the Truth
I John 1:1, “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of Life;”

You and I both know we don’t learn much by “watching” we learn by “doing” and being coached and trained, and “doing it over and over”. I caution you, don’t give up on the process. Do the last thing the Lord directed you to do.  Be faithful.

Remember John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

There is only ONE True God - God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth.  The Great I AM.
Our Freedom was costly, the shed blood of Jesus Christ, be cautious that you strive to use your freedom(s) wisely. Remember silence is an answer. You have a voice; let your voice be heard.

1Tim 2:4 reads, “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”  When you know truth, you have freedom.  The truth has set you free!

The greatest thing that you can discover is that plans that God has for you!!

Action Step: Believe, Learn, Follow, Discover.  One step at a time, and enjoy the journey! What freedom(s) are you most thankful for? Why?  I look forward to your comments.
Reminder WOW 10am at RCI, I hope to see you there.
