It's anything but natural to have to say goodbye. I'm talking about the kind of goodbyes that are forever. It's hard enough to say goodbye when you know you will see the ones you love in say a year, or a month or even a few weeks but forever? That's hard. If you think about goodbyes they were never to be said. See you later is something we need to deal with but goodbye that's totally different. My grandson is too cute. Being his Nonna I am allowed that bit of bragging. When he was little he wouldn't say goodbye until you shut the door and left. Then he would say bye. I thought that the strangest thing and then I realized he was pretty smart little guy. In his mind you weren't gone until he couldn't see you so he wasn't going to say goodbye until then. I guess he figured why say goodbye when your still standing here. He had no concept yet of future. God is all about future. He plans for it. He is preparing a place for you and I. Goodbye to loved ones is not something He plans for, never did. He planned for us to be together for ever. He created us never dying human beings. God desires fellowship with those He loves. We are created in His image so why would we differ from Him. God planned for (see you laters not goodbyes). So for all you out there who struggle with goodbyes? Your just a little more like God than the rest of us. So until tomorrow.....see you later. John 14:2 (NIV) "My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?" |
