"...to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor."

Isaiah 61:3 (NIV) "...to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor." It is not easy to stand in the face of adversity and troubled times. When you feel as though you have done everything you can do in the natural, our inclination is to sit down. We hear bad news or hurt ourselves badly, and we fall to our knees. I remember one icey cold morning, the trunk of my car came down and hit me on the bridge of my nose. Immediately, I fell to my knees as blood began to flow. Why don't we hit our knees more often because HIS BLOOD FLOWED? The enemy is always wanting us to bow to him. This is what got him kicked out of heaven to begin with. The enemy of our God still wants to be bowed before. Let's determine in our hearts to have only ONE we bow to and His name is JESUS. ACTION STEP: Refuse to allow your circumstances to bring you down! Stand before the throne of God and ask Him for what you need. Ask Him for what you want. Ask Him for the desires of your heart. Refuse to be removed from your standing in and with Christ! Our Savior is ever making intercession for us. We already have the victory. Bow to Jesus and pray, then get up walk around and start praising Him for answered prayer. Faith is the currency of Heaven just like money is here on the earth. Get in the word of God until you have enough faith for what you ask! Then you shall receive whatsoever you ask for when you prayed.
