Jesus tells us: “For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
He repeats almost the exact same thing in Matthew 25:29.
Over and over throughout the Bible, you see this shocking principle carried out. The blessed become more blessed. To him who has, more is given.
“To him who has, more will be given” is the opposite of how the world thinks. Why does God work this way?
In order to understand this principle and see it operate in our lives, we have to understand the importance God places on blessing and thanksgiving. Romans 1:21 says: "because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened..."
Whatever you thank God for will increase in your life. Similarly, whatever you bless will increase in your life. When Jesus fed the five thousand (Mark 6) and then the four thousand (Mark 8) with only a few small loaves and fishes, both times you see Him bless the loves and the fish before He handed them to the disciples. When He blessed the food, it increased in His hands. This is a powerful Kingdom principle.

It's all about mindset. Whenever you thank God for something, you are acknowledging to yourself and to Him that you have that thing.
Whenever you bless something, you are acknowledging to yourself and to God that you have that thing also.
And when you become aware that you have that thing, and give glory to God for it, God will increase it in your life.
It's simple. To him who has, more will be given.
In daily life, it looks like this:
- Thank God for providing for your material needs, and you will see His provision increased.
- Bless Him and thank Him for moving on your behalf, and He'll do even more for you.
- Thank Him for always being with you, and you will sense His presence with you even more.
I believe in you and you need to believe in yourself.
