Taking a break from the topic of "Parenting" to share what I am learning in my own life with you. I hope this teachable moment will be both a blessing and beneficial .
When God allows us the opportunity to be in the presence of greatness it is not just so we can feel good, it is so we can grow. In the presence of someone who walks higher than we do, it affords us the opportunity to see what we can become. We can become greater when we listen more than we speak. We become greater when we ask questions. We can become greater when we take note of how others manage themselves in the area of speech, time management, prayer, manners, work, and communication just to name a few.
Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.
Action Step: Today ask God to give you opportunities to become more than you are today. And when God does, ask questions, listen and observe. If you are in a position of modeling for others, keep the bar high. There are those of us watching and wanting to come up higher.
