"Age wrinkles the body. Quitting wrinkles the soul." ~Douglas MacArthur
"The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war." ~Douglas MacArthur

Plenty of controversy surrounds this man's life. President Truman released him of his duties for insubordination in 1951. He was an amazing man who fought in World War I, World War II and the Korean War. Having graduated from West Point with highest honors, he was brilliant yet controversial. He finally retired to private life but remained zealous for honor, country, and duty.

Warriors are warriors in their heart first. One has to believe in what he is fighting for. He, like King David must from deep within ask himself the question, "Is there not a cause?" When the answer to that question is settled then the want to and how to can be found.

God has called us into battle. He never promised us easy victory but instead promised us adversity and trials.  If we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior then we have accepted all that goes with that. Yes, we know the war is won but many battles are yet to be fought.

Each day as you arise to a new horizon of friend or foe, you can read your battle plans and get your strategy from the Word of God and those that have fought before you.

Never give up. Never give in. We are more than victorious through Christ our Savior.
"Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt;as young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear;as young as your hope , as old as your despair." ~Douglas MacArthur
