This blog is dedicated to E. Gibson for her term "Job-ing" around. I think it should be added to the urban dictionary.
Many don't want to ask anyone for anything. While in a staff meeting yesterday, someone read a devotion from Oswald Chambers. She pointed out the word "Ask" means "Beg." This was a revelation to all of our American minds sitting at that table. We think of begging as being a shameful thing. God considers it being a humble and persistent thing. Then, she said something really funny, "You all know I go (Job-ing around.) We were like, "What does that mean?" She explained, that sometimes she is like Job in the Bible praising God and thanking Him... then, in the next breath asking God to just kill her because of how miserable she is. We got it. We've all been there. We have all been "Job-ing around" many times in our life. But, there is a better way. We are not to be unstable! There are rules of the Bible. Laws of the Kingdom. We have to abide by the rules in order for things to work. An example is gravity. Break the rules and things don’t work well. Work with the law of gravity and you can fly! Jesus said to ask the Father in His name. There is no other way. There are absolutes in the Kingdom of God. Over and over in several translations it reads: NKJV “And in that day you will ask Me nothing." BUT you know how many pray Jesus help me? Jesus heal me! Jesus give me money! No, that's not how to pray biblically. Pray, God I beg you, I am asking you in Jesus Name to restore financial blessings into my life. I loose angels to bring in my money and I bind the devil from stealing and holding back my finances. Do this is all areas of your life whether they are health, healing, relationships, jobs, children, whatever area you need God to intervene. The clear path is the path the Lord has set before us. This path is found in the Word of God. Jesus is the WAY. There is no other way to the Father but through the Son. We can not be successful by only thinking, and acting on our thoughts. We are prosperous in all things by renewing our minds to the Word of God and acting on His Word and walking in His ways. Work with the laws of the Kingdom not against them. ACTION STEP: If things are not going the way you want them to, if they are not causing God to rejoice, because He rejoices in the prosperity of the Saints--then ask, beg God to hear; and pray to Him through Jesus His Son. Operate according to Biblical principles. Work with the laws of the Kingdom, not against them. If you don't know the laws of the Kingdom of God, begin to study them out for yourself. Take time to watch this message from this past Sunday. I pray it will open your eyes to the truth of God's way. Here is the link if it does not show up in your email or open this in your Browser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMf-EQQoV-A Make a great day! The choice is ours. We have all authority given to us by Christ Jesus. No more "Job-ing" around!
