Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Often things don't come as quickly as we would like. Healing doesn't manifest in the time frame we expected. Deliverance seems to allude us as we watch loved ones, or ourselves, spiral down deeper into impeding doom. This is when we need to guard our heart. The word of God that we read years ago, or a sermon we heard someone share on our phone or laptop, is still there. Guard it. Take it out your heart. Now, speak it out of your mouth. For the Bible says, "A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of." Luke 6:45 NIV ACTION STEP: Refuse to allow your heart to get hardened. Stay faithful to the Word of God. Stop yourself from drifting through life. Circumstances and situations will change but the Word of God never changes. Eagles are tenacious. They will do whatever it takes to survive and protect they're young. Sometimes, we have no choice but to endure hardship as a good soldier. If that is you today, refuse to give up. The storm will pass. God will not fail you. Keep your heart soft toward God. He is a good father and wants what is best for you and those you love. Your miracle will come. Guard your heart.
