Our culture and our world program us to think a certain way. I woke up this morning and that old song popped into my head. I know I am a little older (smile) than most of my readers. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SsmVgoXDq2w. I am no way endorsing this song but the line that always gets me is, "It's just another manic Monday and I wish it were Sunday!" See I love my Sundays. I love being with the family of God. I love being in His presence. The song goes on to say, "Sunday, that's my fun day'. I know, I know, you are saying, "But that's your work day." It never feels like work when the glory of God is on you. It is only after you have been in His presence and His glory, that was on you for the purposes He deemed have been fulfilled, that you are left feeling tired. I wish it were Sunday cause that's my fun day. However, if I have a great Sunday, if the presence of God is in the house and in those that are present I have a hangover on Monday. If I go to a conference and it is off the chain I find that I stay off the chain for several days. Why is that? So, if your day isn't getting off to the start you would like it to, then do what you would do on Sunday. Get up. Get some praise music on. Start lifting your hands and praising God for something. Call someone an give them an encouraging word. You don't have to wait an entire week to get a new start. Hebrews 3:15 (NLT) ""Today when you hear his voice, don't harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled." Put a new song in your head today, and start NOW!
