James 4:14 (ESV) "Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes." We are all limited by time. We can't wait till we grow, up then we can't wait till we get married. Then we can't wait until we have children. Then we can't wait until our children are grown. This week I got to see it all. There were all ages and all stages every where I looked. I realized how everyone I was looking at had changed over the past 30 plus years. The batons had been passed as well as many of the old timers. The reality set in that we are all limited by time. We can not turn back the hands of time. We can not make time go faster or slow down. Time marches at it's own pace. So, we must make good use of the time we have. If you had a bank that credited your account each morning with $86,000 that carried over no balance from day to day...Allowed you to keep no cash in your account, and every evening cancelled whatever part of the amount you failed to use during the day, what would you do? Draw out every cent every day, of course, and use it to your advantage! Well, you have such a bank, and its name is TIME! Every morning it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it rules off as lost whatever of this you failed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balances, it allows no overdrafts. Each day it opens a new account with you. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours. There is no going back. There is no drawing against tomorrow. Source Unknown. Psalm 90:12 (KJV) "Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Action Step: Today choose to use your time wisely. One day you will awake and realize that for you, time is running out.
