Maybe today you just need someone to come along side of you and help you carry the load? Maybe, what's on your plate is disappointment or worry? If you have been abandoned, rejected, or violated by someone you trusted it may be hard to reach out and ask for help. But, help is what you need. Help is what we all need from time to time. Sure, it may be hard to trust, but trust is exactly what we must learn to do again. Take baby steps. Reach out and ask for some small act of help. Exercise your trust muscle. I literally started trusting people with their driving directions. Seriously, instead of telling them every turn to make, I made a conscious effort to be silent. So what if they had to make a u-turn? We still made it to our destination and I carried less of the stress. Then, I moved to a Starbucks orders. "Just get me what you think I'd like." Seriously? Yes, that was huge for me. I learned I liked some new things and I learned what never to order again. I'm all the way up to asking people what they think about some pretty serious thoughts and decisions. Baby steps! People will fail you, but hey you have failed yourself at times and no doubt failed others. Failure is part of living. Live anyways!

ACTION STEP: Take a chance today. Ask someone to help you carry whatever is on your plate. Can't do that? Okay, start with a baby step. Ask someone to help you with something small that isn't super important and then trust them with whatever the outcome.
Today, my grandsons made their beds and it was the best they ever did. They are only 7 yr. and 5 yr. old. But, they have been working on that task since they started spending the night. I used to remake it. Then, I decided nope. Leave it so they can see what they did the last time. You know what? They noticed, and each time they improve. So does my Starbucks and my anxiety while someone else is behind the wheel.
