Miracles from Heaven--go see it! It is a great movie. The Dad is not made out to be some wet washcloth that doesn’t do anything and folds under the slightest pressure. He stands up for what he believes and does the best he can at being a great dad while his wife takes care of their sick daughter.
The mom—well she doesn’t have it all together and the “Church” friends she has are the kind of friends you could do without. To make that more of a true life kinda story a lady who is a waitress that has a beat up car and a less than desirable demeanor is the kind of friend she ends up needing.
Let’s face it, “Life happens”. It doesn’t always smell good; look good and fit into the nice little suburbanite family life we all think everyone else has.
The best thing about the movie is a little girl shares her faith with another little girl and it changes things but not the way you’d think. We all need to share our faith. Our age doesn’t matter. We need to be teaching our children from a very early age about God and the life of faith. We may never know when they are going to need it or when others are going to need it more.
Do yourself a favor. Go see the movie. I did. And I am glad I did.
