Starting Sunday, I will begin sharing on "The Power of Freedom". People can break out of prison or some type of confinement, and still not be free. For example if someone escapes from prison they may say they are free, but they are constantly on the run, looking over their shoulder, wondering when they will be caught.
When God sets us free, we are free indeed. No more looking over your shoulder. No more wondering when the next temptation, drug, drink, pimp, or pornography is going to dig its nails back into your arm, or worst yet your heart.
"It cost me something!"
"Everybody didn’t make it here!"
Don’t fight for the freedom, if you’re not going to enjoy it?
Your still hateful and depressed-you had to leave things.
Not looking over my shoulder ever again—free indeed. Not living like a runaway.
Escaped Pharaoh-but not free untill they crossed the Red Sea and Pharaoh was drown, then they were free-free indeed!
Not free but running from my history.
Not free but the drugs still chasing me.
Not free but the alcohol still calling me.
Not free but angry at the drop of a hat.
Not free but still bound.
Not just free, but not free indeed.
