Hebrews 9:27 (NKJ) “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”
Time is a gift we have been given each day we are alive. This gift—this time is something we can spend however we want and then as quickly as it came it goes; for some quicker than for others. Who do you desire to spend your time with? Sure we all have to work, do laundry, wash our clothes and groom our bodies but how about that “free” time. Most believe they don’t have any free time, but we all do.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-3 (NKJ) “To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; ...”
What will you do with the gift of time that you have been given? May I suggest you spend some time on yourself, spend some on work, some on family and friends, but invest some time on your relationship with your heavenly father? Get to know who you will be spending eternity with. If your loved ones who have passed away knew Jesus, then you can rejoice that when you’re called home… they will be there to meet you too.
John 14:2 (KJV) “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”
Prepare for where you are headed today and treat others like today is the last day you have with them because; it just might be.
