Start small but start. We all started out small. Every person, every business, every nation, everything and everyone started out small compared to what they were eventually called to become. As people born on this earth, we were all born small, fragile and helpless. Yet within us is the potential to become big (not too big, we pray), powerful and to fulfill the purposes for which we were born. Even the mighty oak tree started out as an acorn.
So regardless of what it is you want to accomplish in 2015 start. Start now. Do something to begin the process of what it is you want to accomplish. I like to lay everything out that I am going to need to complete my task. I also like a recipe, or a step by step guide, an illustration or a model. However, when God ask us to do something it has not always been done before. When God ask us to do something it will require faith. Faith sees and fear is blind. We cannot begin in faith and then find ourselves in fear right in the middle of the process and see the final product. Many times we must start in faith and continue in faith and never see the final product until God chooses to reveal it to us. Following God will always require faith. Following God will require us to do the unnatural such as stepping out of a boat onto water. Following God will require us at times to build a boat when it has never rained. Following God requires us to start one step at a time, one board at a time.
What is it God has called you to do? Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Perhaps the place to start is in the Word of God. Putting in a CD or reading aloud works for me. For others, it may be singing the Word or going to hear a sermon. No one will build the boat for you, Noah; but there are those that are waiting to get on the boat. No boat means no bailout on that rainy day. In Noah's time, it never rained before... there was never the need for a boat. Don’t wait until tomorrow. Tomorrow may be too late.
Zechariah 4:10 KJV For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the Lord, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”
