My father use to say, "If I can just keep them alive until they are in their 20's the chance of loosing them goes way down." Perhaps thats not a very positive or appropriate way of saying it but never the less it is true. Kids need us to protect them and sometimes protect them from themselves. I am grateful for my Dad's protection. Your children will be too.
Sometimes our kids are just not acting like our kids. With school starting, from Pre-School all the way through College sometimes we need to refresh ourselves on the facts! We are the parents. We are the responsible one. What we do and say matters. Our children will thank us someday, key word being someday.
