Definition
A parasite is an organism that lives on or in a host organism and gets its food from or at the expense of its host. ... Protozoa are microscopic, one-celled organisms that can be free-living or parasitic in nature.

While in Ghana we visited the Botanical Gardens a short drive from the Bible College on our one free day. My husband and I were blessed that our team on the ground wanted to do something nice for us. The team members we took with us had experienced a vigorous schedule so it worked well for the entire team. What I saw however, was not what I expected. The above photo is the inside of a tree. It has been totally eaten from the inside out and is dead but still standing. This is the result of a parasite.

In life there are parasites. Some parasites are people, some are feelings of bitterness and unforgiveness toward people; but either way they eat away at our soul, emotions and who we are on the inside.

ACTION STEP: ​Cut off the parasite in your life. Check your relationships to see if they are healthy or devouring. Be a life-giving friend, parent, co-worker and Christian.
