Day four of our look at Galatians 5:22 we are going to look at “Peace”.
John 14:25-27 (KJV) “25 "All this I have spoken while still with you. 26 But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
If I asked you to take an inventory of your peace in your home on a scale of 1-10 what would you score yourself?
How about at work?
In relationships?
Within your own heart? 1 or 10?
Peace is not the absence of all troubles and cares. Peace is the presence of Christ in the midst of all of our troubles and cares. Peace is what Jesus gave us not as the world gives peace and then the word of God tells us, “Don’t let your heart be trouble or afraid.” In other words the world is going to be at war with our peace—don’t let it.
Are you at peace today? Right now? If not ask God to give you the Holy Spirit and not only will you receive peace but also the Counselor who will teach and remind you of the things of God that will enable you to keep your heart and mind stayed on Him.
