John 10:27,” My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Today we continue with the story of Jael and her courageous actions to save her people. She was in the right place at the right time using the right weapon. JAEL was a fierce warrior. She was cunning, sly, courageous, faithful, loyal, she knew how to honor those who were around her.
Clearly it was the call of God inside her that arouse and broke through. John 8:47, He that is of God heareth God’s words…Every limitation and man-made expectation to do something that had never been done. In those days everything connected with a tent was a woman’s job, (just like taking care of your home today) and the woman became expert in all the phases of making, pitching, and striking tent pegs. I’m sure driving down the stakes (tent pegs) of the tent to hold it in place took accuracy and skill, both of which Jael demonstrated to have.

Jael represented a WOMAN OF BOLDNESS AND COURAGE.
Many times when we obey the Lord, He is setting us up for the greatest breakthroughs of our lives. God anoints ORDINARY THINGS and makes them EXTRAORDINARY. He took Jael’s skill with a tent peg, she stuck the mighty warrior Sisera in his head and crushed it. With that one blow, he fell dead at her feet.
Jael was one of God’s secret weapons.
Sisera was symbolic of a demonic strongman who set up strongholds that oppressed Israel for many years.
Jael is a prophetic picture of a woman being empowered by the Spirit of God to take matters into her own hands!
God is setting men and women free from years of bondage and torment, and He is also empowering them to set captives free. Isaiah 52:2 “Shake yourself from the dust; O captive Jerusalem. Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.” This Word admonishes daughters of Zion to loose themselves. Zion is a prophetic word and symbol of the Church.
God is empowering women to set themselves free so that they can set others free. I believe this is the hour in which we will experience the full manifestation of Luke 4:18-19 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” This is exactly what I am doing in Ghana this week.
