Haggai 2:2
Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and to the residue of the people, saying,
Haggai 2:3
Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?
I believe God want you and I to know what they knew. I believe God is healing and doing great miracles in our midst. He is here. We need to be strong in the Lord.
Haggai 2:4
Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the LORD; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the LORD, and work: for I am with you, saith the LORD of hosts:
Haggai 2:5
According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.
Here’s the Word of the Lord! Be Strong! Get to Work! God is with us! He is the Lord who fights our battles and the victory is won! Don’t be afraid to step out in faith believing God for great things! God is with us and we cannot fail!
Haggai 2:6
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
Haggai 2:7
And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts.
Can we deny that there’s a shaking going on? Can’t we see that the shaking in only beginning and that there’s an ever greater shaking coming? Everything that can be shaken, will be shaken, so that only that which is of God, founded upon his word, will stand!
Haggai 2:8
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
Haggai 2:9
The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts.
But God will shake everything that can be shaken until everything that hinders us will be removed and all that’s left is for us to desire Him and His glory in our midst. God wants to fill his house, his church and his people with his glory!
He desires that the church in these last days will be a greater church than in the old days, with a greater anointing, a stronger faith, a greater trust in Him and that we can rest in his peace and still be filled with his presence to finish the work set before us.
What is the true glory of the temple? Is it the gold, silver, brass, and all of the rich materials that were lost in Solomon’s temple? No – it was very presence of the Son of God that was to be the true glory! Nothing of this world can compare to him!
