Rewind Time Verses Renew Mind

We all would like to rewind time but probably all for different reasons.  Some because they said or did something wrong or hurtful others because they were wronged and hurt.  Either way it is impossible to rewind time. It marches on. Time is not a respecter of persons it simply is. We spend it and it’s gone. The good news is we can change the way we think about it. We can change the way we feel about it. We can tell ourselves that God will work all things for good for those that love Him and are called to His purposes.  His purposes for my life are always going to be good. O even though this period of time looks really bad God says there will be something good come out of this.  I just have to renew my mind.

Romans 12:2 (NIV) “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

There are several scriptures that talk about renewing our mind. Each scripture talks about this subject and none say to pray that God renews your mind.  To ask God to renew your mind is like asking your mom to do your homework.  We have to do our part and then God will do His part with the help of the Holy Spirit.

John 16:13 (NKJV) “13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

Today challenge yourself to think like God. Don’t know how to do that then read the four Gospels over and over until you see the way Jesus sees because if you see Jesus you see the Father. Renewing your mind will take time but in the long run it will redeem it and that’s almost as good as getting to rewind it.
