The No. 1 spot went to Romans 12:2 "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...." (NIV).
But the fourth chapter of Philippians took No. 2 with verse 8, No. 3 with verse 6, and No. 6 with verse 7.
In order, the verses read:
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Here is the most popular verse in the United States:
Philippians 4:8 (NIV) “8Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”
Probably what surprised me the most is that when you put all the verses together they address the way we are to think, and what we are to think about, so we can have peace, even when we don’t have answers.

People want to love and be loved, but the scriptures that drawl them are about how and what we think about. The reason this encourages me is because as believers, we have the answers the world is looking for. We need only to have the boldness to share our faith. I encourage you this week to reach out to those around you that may be looking for love, and share these most popular verses with them, and spend some time getting to know those you associate with. You may find you have more in common with them than you think and they may very well be looking for the very thing we have.
