“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”
― Elie Wiesel

“Traumatized people chronically feel unsafe inside their bodies: The past is alive in the form of gnawing interior discomfort. Their bodies are constantly bombarded by visceral warning signs, and, in an attempt to control these processes, they often become expert at ignoring their gut feelings and in numbing awareness of what is played out inside. They learn to hide from their selves.” (p.97)”
― Bessel A. van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma

Ephesians 2:10 ESV
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."

Self-sabotaging is the one part of our world we can control, regardless of what area we are sabotaging ourselves. If we hate rich people, we will never be rich. If we think making more money than our father made, is dishonoring to our father, then we will never make more than our father did.

There is a "stuckness" in people that have experienced trauma or at the least have a higher incidence of self-sabotaging. Most of our beliefs are formed before we are seven years old. Our goal as individuals is to take the lid off limiting beliefs so they don't become a generational stronghold in our children, and their children, and so forth. It's hard to see the rug, if you're a bug in the rug. It takes someone that can see the whole rug, to tell us "the bug" to get out of the rug. It is also said, "You can't read the label when you're in the bottle." So what can you do? Get help.

It helps for Holy Spirit to show us how to get un-stuck. This often times takes people in our lives that are filled with the Holy Spirit to see what we don't see. Here is a good short link to a video below that shows us why we are not to judge people who have experienced trauma:

For todays video I am using another MedCircle YouTube. As I have been watching these to teach myself, I am sharing some of them with you. I am doing several of my own videos as well to share with you tomorrow, and later in this week, and next week. I hope you are learning along with me and sharing these Blogs with a friend.
ACTION STEP: Find a safe place. By that I mean someone you can talk with and work through the self-sabotaging behaviors you find yourself caught up in. I talked about this a little bit yesterday, so go back to yesterday's Blog and watch that video. We can make small changes that make big differences.

I believe in you and I am praying you believe in yourself! Together we are better.
