Proverbs 26:4 (ISV) "Don't answer a fool according to his foolishness, or you will be just like him." I have always heard this scripture differently than it reads. I understood it to me don't correct a fool because it won't do any good. As I meditated on the scripture I realized the reason it was written the way it was is because it makes us a fool to think it would do any good. Yet, we all have tried at least once to get a foolish person to listen to us. Then, I thought of how many times I have been the foolish one and God still came and instructed me, wooed me, loved me, and remained steadfastly in love with me, and merciful. Today before you go off on people, or try to fix them...give them to God. He is long-suffering, merciful and kind and His love never fails--ours does. Let them taste and see for themselves the goodness of God.
