Definition of forecast: a prediction or estimate of future events, especially coming weather or a financial trend.

I don't know about you but when I wake up to a dark and dismal day, I am not nearly as excited about my day? God didn't all of the sudden fall from heaven. The world did not end. No one is in any immediate danger, but I want to pull the covers back over my head. Why? Because the sun is not shining. Then, when I hear a forecast like the one that's been hitting the news lately because of El Niño and La Niña, I begin to groan and have this conversation in my head that it's going to be hot. How will we all stay cool and not get agitated and irritable during this pandemic?

The human mind needs peace. We need to learn to silence the voice of the enemy. The voice of human reasoning and dread and gloom is part of our fallen nature. It will always forecast the worst. The Holy Spirit will always forecast the best scenario.

ACTION STEP: We need to prophecy into our future "forecasts" what the Word of God says about our future. The Word of God tells us that God has plans for good future for us. Here is another definition of forecast from Merriam Webster: Definition of forecast (Entry 2 of 2)
1: a prophecy, estimate, or prediction of a future happening or condition
The very first word is prophecy. This is the Hebrew year of Pey. Pey means to say. It is the year of the mouth. So, let's put a watch guard over our mouth.
Proverbs 13:3; “Whoever guards his mouth preserves his life; he who opens wide his lips comes to ruin." Ephesians 4:29; "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear."

Today, say what you want. Refuse to allow the enemy to use your mouth to speak contrary to the Word of God for your life. Only say what you want, that lines up with the Word of God.
Proverbs 11:17 “Your own soul is nourished when you are kind, but you destroy yourself when you are cruel.” Proverbs 15: 1 “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but hard words stir up anger.” Proverbs 15:4 “Gentle words bring life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.”
