Hebrews 2:10 TPT
"For now he towers above all creation, for all things exist through him and for him.
And that God made him, pioneer of our salvation, perfect through his sufferings, for this is how he brings many sons and daughters to share in his glory."

I am infested with the Book of 1st Samuel right now. David was a soon to be king. Saul hated David because God was with him. Saul did everything in his power to destroy the soon to be king. But, David's name means beloved. We are God's beloved. This is a prophetic book. David never denies his sin but confesses them. David asks God if things that go bad are his fault, rather than blaming others.

The number Ten means test. David's father gave him ten loaves of bread and ten cheeses. David had to be tested by his father. 1 Samuel 17:17, look at that number. Ten meaning test and seven completion. David passed the test to obey his father whether it was to be faithful in giving to his brothers (horizontal test) or to to the commander (vertical test). David had to pass the test of sonship before he could continue his training for reigning. God wants obedience to Him first and foremost in all our relationships.

ACTION STEP: We will be persecuted for our faith but rewarded by God. What do you want? Honor from those around you or to hear your Father and my Father to say, "Well done..." I will take the later. Read 1st Samuel and let me know all the nuggets you have found...then I will share mine with you. If you missed part 2 of the message on the life of David and his experiences in a place of compromise and complacency then click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDj8vq8OQQo&feature=youtu.be
Or you can view it in your Browser. Have a great day. Remember you are a soon to be king! Practice obedience horizontally and vertically.
